Following practice that morning, Niall and I went back to my house where everyone was waiting to go to Wesley’s surprise.
He still has no idea where we are going, which I told Connor he better not tell him or I would tell Rachel all of his embarrassing stories, so I know Connor wouldn’t tell him. I also blackmailed Rachel with the same thing.
Arriving home, Wesley smiled.
“Momma! Is it time to go yet?”
“Hold on, bud. Momma has to go get changed.”
I ran up to my room and threw on a random white t-shirt, blue jean shorts that ended a little past my butt, and threw a flannel around my waist. I put on my black high top Converse and let my hair fall from my ponytail from practice. My hair was oily because of me sweating, so I put on some deodorant and perfume and threw on a black snapback, thankful it went with the outfit. I put on some foundation, concealer, eyeliner, and mascara before racing downstairs, only to be asked by Wesley again if it was time to leave.
“Yep. Let’s go buddy, Niall is waiting.”
His eyes lit up, making me smile as he raced to the car.
“Hey, Rach and I are driving separately if that’s cool.”
“Yeah, that’s fine. We’ll meet you at the gates.”
They nodded and we went our separate ways. Niall had gotten into my car, since it already had Wesley’s car seat in there and I handed him the keys, letting him start it up while I buckled him in.
“Are you excited, Wesley?”
He smiled brightly and nodded.
As we got closer to the gates, Wesley was bouncing excitedly.
“My surprise is the zoo?!” Wesley asked.
“Part of it, yeah,” I said, smiling and looking back at him to see his bright and wide smile.
I hate that we live so close to one and rarely ever visit it.
Once we parked, I got out and helped Wesley out of his car seat where he immediately got out and ran over to Niall.
“Can I get on your shoulders?”
Niall’s eyes brightened and I felt my heart grow at this interaction. Wesley has only been able to do that with his uncle, as he unfortunately rarely sees his grandfathers.
Wesley walked up to the gates on Niall’s shoulders, where Niall set him down, saying that his friend should be around the gates, so I looked for anyone I might recognize.
All I heard was a baby who was starting to cry and an English accent trying to calm it down.
Oh my gosh. No. It can’t be Louis. This isn’t what I imagined. I imagined a dinner or something, where he didn’t think I was throwing my kid off on Niall.
“Louis, I would like you to meet someone,” Niall said, walking up to him.
He had little Freddie in his arms, trying to soothe him. He looked exhausted, absolutely.
“Can this wait man? I don’t know what he wants! He was fed on the way here. I have changed his diaper and I’m lost.”
I smiled, remembering when I was the same way. I was so confused and lost.
“Mind if I hold him?” I asked.
Louis’s eyes shot up and looked at me warily.
“Who are you?”
“Louis, this is my-” Niall paused, looking down at Wesley and back up at me. “This is my special friend, Evelina.”
Louis followed his eyes to where Wesley was holding onto my hand and looking at Louis with curious eyes.
“Momma, who is he?”
“He’s one of Niall’s friends, like Aunt Rachel is to Mommy.”
He nodded and then smiled, letting go of my hand and skipping the small distance between all of us.
“Hi, my name is Wesley. I’m four.”
“Nice to meet you, Wesley. I’m Louis. I’m twenty-four.”
Wesley’s eyes bugged out.
“You’re old!”
I laughed and felt a little embarrassed, but knew it was just part of it. Thankfully, Louis just laughed it off.
“Alright. You’ve obviously done this before.”
I smiled and took Freddie from him, holding him.
He was still crying and I touched his tummy, noticing it was hard.
“Does Freddie have colic?”
Louis’s eyes widened and smacked himself on the forehead. (A/N: I have absolutely no clue if Freddie has colic in real life, but in this story he does.) I took that a yes, especially when Louis started digging through the diaper bag which was huge. It must be because of the fact we’re gonna be at the zoo and he wants to be prepared.
Louis emerged with the medicine that, unfortunately, you have to stick up their butts.
“Okay, Freddie. I think it’s time for Daddy to deal with that. I’ve done enough of those in my day. His turn,” I said, handing Freddie back to Louis.
Louis glared at me with a soft smile.
Wesley looked up at me with a confused look.
“What does Mr. Louis have to do Momma?”
“He has to give Freddie some medicine.”
“Oh. Yuck.”
Louis laughed and nodded.
“Very.”
Then, I heard a little squeak behind me, making me turn around, seeing Rachel with wide eyes.
Oh crap. I never told her who I was dating.
“Ugh. Evelina.”
“Um. Niall, this is my best friend and brother’s girlfriend, Rachel. You’ve already met Connor.”
Niall smiled and stuck his hand out.
Connor was laughing the whole way. I guess he didn’t tell her either, wanting to see her reaction, which is actually hilarious.
“Wait. You knew?” Rach asked, looking at Connor.
“Of course I knew. I just didn’t tell you because I wanted to see your reaction.”
“I take it you’re a fan?”
I snorted, making Rachel glare at me.
“Alright, everybody. Louis is in the bathroom, but it’s gonna be a while.”
Rachel scrunched her nose.
“Ew. Too much info.”
I laughed.
“He has Freddie with him.”
Rachel smiled wide.
“Freddie! I get to meet Freddie?”
“Yes, you get to meet Freddie.”
“Looks like that’s the only thing I’m good for nowadays,” Louis’s voice sounded.
“Welcome to fatherhood,” I said, making my heart ache.
“Momma. Can we go in now?”
“Of course. C’mon kiddo.”
We all to the gates, which was surprisingly quiet.
“I wonder where everyone is at.”
“Zoo is closed to the public.”
“Wait. Why?”
“Louis pitched in and helped me rent the place out so we could get some privacy.”
I stopped and Niall did as well, since Rachel and Connor had Wesley’s hand and Louis was focused on Freddie.
“You okay?”
“You didn’t have to do that you know?”
“I know. It wasn’t my idea, honestly. Louis and Briana post pictures of Freddie, yes, but they hate it when he’s swarmed, scared it’s gonna scare him.”
“They are new parents, I understand that.”
Niall smiled and we caught up with the rest of them, ready to start this family and friend day.

So, I didn't update right away after seeing all of these updates, but I tried to. I really did. Sorry, but like I told someone in the comment section, I worked a double last night and let me just tell you... I was absolutely exhausted! So here is an update.
It took me a little longer to write this chapter than normal as well because my furbaby was demanding my love and attention, so I must give the diva what she wants. XD
