I'm Not Fine At All

Calum's POV
"Boys, another artist has been waiting for almost a half hour."Says a lady who works in the building.

"Okay,we're finished for the day,we'll just get our things,"Ashton says smiling.It's my fault we went over our time.I had to have multiple takes,I just wasn't feeling it today. The boys get into a conversation as we head out.

"Is that ed and...." Michael trails off.

I look up and see Ed and, is that her?It had to be I'd know her anywhere.

"Leslie?"I say more to myself. She turns around and her eyes are wide.

"hey mates!"Ed says coming up to us with Leslie ,my eyes not leaving her as she tries to look anywhere else but me.

"What are you guys doing here?"Ashton asks.

"Leslie here, is recording her album."Ed says. They start up a conversation,but I zone out focusing on her. She looks the same,but different,if that's even possible. I look at her outfit and see she's still the same Leslie I knew,weird. I look at her shirt and can't help smile like an idiot. I got her that shirt.And,now that I think about it,I'm pretty sure she stole that hat from Michael.

"Hello Earth to Calum?"Luke says snapping his fingers in front of my face.

"Huh?What?"I say snapping out of my thoughts.

"What were you thinking about?"Ed asks curiously.

"Nothing."I mumble slightly embarrassed.

" 'Nothing' doesn't make you smile."Ashton says.

"Aww Cal is blushing!"Luke says in a girly tone making me roll my eyes.

"Whatever"I mumble.

"So?"Ed asks

"So what?"I say oblivious to the conversation they just had

""do you um..wanna.come listen to my recording session."Leslie said,speaking for the first time, her voice just as lovely as I remember.I nod and the lady escorts us back to the room we were just in.

LESLIE'S POV

"Do you want to sing the one we just finished?"Ed asks. I quickly glances at Cal and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Okay but can we sing our duet after?"I ask him quietly.He nods.

"Hey Ash?Would you do me a favor?"I ask

"what is it?"

"Well we didn't really record the drum part for my song so i was wondering.."

"Say no more,"He says as he walks into the room that had a drum kit in the back.

Michael pouts"And I can't play the guitar?"I giggle as I say yes. Ed gives them the music sheets and lets them practice.

Ed gives me side hug,before sitting down and playing with some buttons,as the boys sit on a couch on the back.I stepped into the room,took off my hat and put on the headphones.

"You know I've been looking for that hat."Michael says with a smirk as he steals it from my hand and puts it on.I giggle as I listen to them rehearsing.

I sighed as i think of the meaning behind the song I'm about to sing.I wrote this song with the help of Ed.It was it's a breakup song about a love I shared with Calum that I didn't want to forget because it was so strong and passionate.I wanted to remind him of how he was there for me and how I loved him.It showed I still care for him and want him back. I was nervous to sing this in front of him,wondering if he'd know it was about him. Ed even asked me if it was about Calum and I answered with a small nod. I couldn't lie to him, he has become my mentor,almost like a brother.

Once the two boys had their parts down I gave a thumbs up to Ed.The music started and i missed my intro,because I was too deep into my thoughts.Ed had to restart it and count me down since i started almost immediately after the music.I focused at the mic in front of me,not wanting to look up at the three boys.

I whimpered the parts in parentheses. I look up and see them through the glass as I continued.I looked right at Calum as I sang the next part.

I looked back down to the mic and put a hand on the headset (One was slightly pushed off of my left ear so i held the one on my right)

Ashton's drumming got louder and I turned and smiled at him,before smiling at Mikey

I look out of the glass and once again my attention turns to Calum.

I didn't even notice the stray tears that flowed freely down my cheek,until Mikey came up to me and wiped one away with his thumb. I laughed and wiped my eyes then hugged him,then I turned to Ashton and hugged them both. Suddenly three more bodies joined our hug and I laughed even more.

We were goofing of but I still I had to have a couple more takes and before I knew it My time was up.
