Mandolin Rain

Harry's POV

All the guys were here, we were leaving to Australia in two days and we were all pretty excited. I was selfish, getting a few more days with Elliot compared to Louis, Zayn, and Liam. Elliot had taken the morning off, letting Polly take over so she was coming with us to a morning show interview.

She was meeting Lou and Caroline, which I was pretty excited about, they was like my other best friends, always there to support us and make us laugh on the tour. We weren’t always the most joyful people in the morning, I was at least used to the time difference, the other guys just flew in yesterday so they were off, plus I had them all stay at my house so we stayed up way later then usual just catching up.

Elliot was meeting us on set, I wanted her to stay and hang out with us last night but she insisted on us having a guy's night. It was nice, but things weren’t quite on track with us after my outburst. I noticed she was a bit more timid then the take charge she usually is.

We were just waiting in the green room, waiting for our turn to talk on Good Morning LA, Lou had finished with all of our hair, we were set to go. Just goofing off, wishing we could sleep, but we were always forbidden to when our hair and clothes were set.

“Hello?” I quick turn my head to see Elliot, with hands full of coffee, wearing a light blue sweater with printed leggings and booties. I rush over to her, not caring what the guys think, they've all met her, they love her.

“Good morning love.” I kiss her forehead and squeeze her tight.

“Morning, so early the sun isn't even up yet.” She is obviously still tired. “I brought you some Chai tea.” She hands it out to me sipping what I assume is her's, always thinking of me. “Hey guys, good morning!” She smiles and waves to everyone as they greet her.

“Mmm, Elliot, I want you to meet Lou Teasdale, our stylist, and Caroline, she dresses me.”

“Hello! I've heard a lot about you two, you need to live with Harry all the time so I don't have to do his hair and help him pick out his clothes.” Everyone laughs at my expense but it's true.

“On in five gentleman!” A man yells from the door, meaning it's time for us to get ready on set. We're already all mic'd up, just have to follow the guy to the stage, I grip Elliot's hand for her to follow us.

“Can't I just sit back there and watch?” She asks curiously.

“You can, but you can also sit by the camera's and see us and get a front row seat.” I smile at her and point to some empty chairs that Caroline and Lou walk towards. “They won't bite.” I tease and kiss her cheek.

“Welcome back LA, we have five very special guests with us today, none other then One Direction! Good morning gentleman, how are you all today?” The interviewer ask us as we all take turns answering.

“So lets get to it, you are all leaving for Australia in a few days right?” I think her name is Julie, way to chipper for the morning if you ask me.

“Yes, off to Sydney, then we'll be touring Australia for a few weeks, then New Zealand, Japan, China, and India.” Liam answers, he's always the most calm in interviews, the one who will always answers the questions.

“And will anyone be joining you on this Pacific tour?” She asks, everyone is always so interested in our personal life.

“Well Perrie is busy with her group, recording and practicing so she won't be able to but my sisters might be able to meet up for a few dates.” Zayn answers.

“I have a few friends coming.” Niall responds.

“Sophia and Eleanor will meet us in Japan and travel to China with us as well.” Liam tells her.

“And Harry, anyone special joining you all?” She asks me, I could swear I see a wink in her eye.

“Um, my sister Gemma might, maybe my mum.” I hate giving so much away.

“And what about this Elliot? Your girlfriend right?” She asks. We've been good about keeping it quiet.

“Uh, yes, Elliot is my girlfriend. She's got a lot of responsibility here, she owns and runs a yoga studio so we haven't really been able to talk about her being able to visit us.” I simply answer.

“So speaking of your girlfriend, your ex, Zoe is expected to have a baby next month, right? How does that play into your tour and they dynamics with your new relationship?” Just get right into our personal business. Sometimes I regret being so open with people in the beginning but I was only 16, I wish people would just back off and let me be.

“Yes, Zoe is expected to have a baby next month, we'll be in New Zealand by then so we're just planning on taking it by ear and seeing where things go. And Elliot and I are good, yes we were friends when Zoe and I were still together but we didn't get together until Zoe and I split.” I explain hoping we move onto someone else.

“So the rumors of her being a home wrecker are false then?” Wow, I'm sure all of our faces went wide with shock.

“Not even close.” I tell her.

“She's nothing like that. We all met her last summer and she was nothing buy nice and supportive of us and everything we've done. She's not the kind of person that would split other people up.” Zayn steps up and defends her, which is big for him, he's usually quiet.

“So even with what Zoe is saying you still chose to be with Elliot and drag her through the mud? I saw recently that she has a stalker?”

“I love Elliot. It's as simple as that.” I'm short hoping she'll get the hint and back off.

“So just to clear this up, she's not in it for the money either? We've seen lots of trends on twitter of people hating Elliot and saying she's only with you because you're famous.” She tries to explain herself. This is quite possibly the most unprofessional interview I've ever been a part of.

“Um, I think that's a really rude and personal question. This is an interview for our new tour, not on Harry and Elliot's personal life.” Niall pipes up.

I nod in thank you and see some movement catch my eye, it's Elliot, rushing up from her seat and walking away from the stage with Lou close behind her. Great, not only have they upset all of us but now Elliot too.

“None of our girlfriends are after our money, we spoil them because we want to, we have the means to so we will. Elliot is actually quite stubborn, not accepting a lot from me at all, she has worked really hard for what she has and doesn't need me at all to provide for her. I think we're all a good judge of character and we wouldn't be with anyone that would take advantage of us like that.” I fidget in my seat, anxious to get to Elliot.

“Yeah, we all love Elliot, she makes Harry and his family very happy, so that makes happy. That's all that matters is us, our family, and our fans.” Liam tells her. It's nice that even if we don't spend all that much time together that they step up for Elliot and I's relationship without even asking. I keep in touch with them constantly and they know all the things that she does for me.

Thankfully Julie changes her tune and starts talking about the tour finally, and not about our personal lives. I back off from answering questions. She pissed me off and I'd rather not be here at all, it took a lot for me to not walk off the set and find Elliot.

Once the session ends I jump off the couch and practically rip the mic off my shirt and the clip from my back. I forgo saying thank you and good bye to Julie and practically run down the hall to the green room. I open the door and see Elliot on the couch and Lou cleaning her brushes, packing them back in the case.

“Are you all right?” I ask Elliot, who upon further inspection I can see has been crying.

“Oh, hey, yeah I'm fine.” She smiles at me and stands up to give me a hug. I look over at Lou who mouths, “not fine” to me and shakes her head.

I grip her longer and finally feel her relax. Us against the world I guess.
