Mandolin Rain

Thirty-four

Harry's POV

The Bride at weddings is suppose to be the most beautiful person in the room, but I knew it was Elliot tonight. Not just because she's beautiful on the outside, but because she captivates people with her smile and her charm. And she was mine.

Even though we weren’t quite old enough, we were drinking champagne. If we were old enough in another country, I didn't understand why we weren’t old enough in the States. I watched her from a distance, funny how she knew no one here when we arrived and it seems as though everyone wants to talk to her. That was Elliot.

I was in trouble.

I was head over heals in love with her.

“Hey loser.” She elbows me, I hadn't realized she got closer. See, she's just so nice.

“Hey.” I hand her the extra flute I have in my hand.

“This will be my last one.” She tells me as she sips.

“Last one? After two?” I tease sipping from my glass.

“Yeah, one of us has to drive home and this is your friend's wedding.” She reminds me.

“By the looks of it I think they like you more.” I gently elbow her and she shakes her head and smiles.

“They're just intrigued by someone who has a regular 9-5 job. It's exciting for them.”

I take her flute from her hand and set it on a nearby table, “Come on, lets dance.” I take her hand and walk her towards the packed dance floor as it was one of my favorite songs, “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton.

I wrap my arms around her to keep her close as we sway to the music.

“I love this song.” She whispers as if it's a secret.

“Me too.” I stare into her eyes as I try to study them, I can't believe I'll be leaving in a month for months.

“Hey, what do you think of marriage?” I ask in a bold statement.

“I think it's beautiful, everyone should be afforded the pleasure of being able to get married.” She explains.

“But what about you?”

“Are you asking if I want to get married?” She asks slightly pulling away, I simply nod. “Well, one day, I'm only nineteen. I've got a lot happening in my life. But when the time is right it will happen. And when it does, no one can wear shoes.” She explains not giving me much to work with, not saying that she even wants to marry me. My face must give something away.

“Are you okay Harry?” She asks.

“Yeah, just getting tired.” I lie.

“You want to go sit down?” She asks always concerned with my well being.

“No, I want to dance all night.” I spin her around as romantically as I can without bumping into people.

-----------------------------------

“I don't know how some people do it.” Elliot whines as we pull into the garage of my house. “My feet are killing me.” She rips off her shoes almost in a fit of rage and throws them in the back seat. Thats what you get when you're with someone who likes to be barefoot.

“Come on, let's get changed.” I grab her hand as we walk to my room, it's way past midnight, I've left my coat in the car, Elliot told me her shoes will keep it company. Odd ball. I strip off my shirt and shoes, throwing them haphazardly in the closet and Elliot catches my eye. Running her fingers through her hair, trying desperately to unzip her dress, the top is at the bottom of her neck. I take this opportunity to assist her.

She flinches as my cold hands graze her neck. I slowly unzip her, kissing her back as the dress opens more. When it reaches the bottom Elliot takes a step away and turns around, looking me in the eyes and slowly peeling her arms away from the garment and slowly letting it drop to the floor revealing the matching navy set I saw briefly earlier.

We stand there for a minute, me just taking her in. She slowly reaches her hands out for my belt buckle to release it and slides my pants down leaving us both in just our underwear.

In a fever our lips connect, her arms wrapping around my waist and mine pulling her face in, running my fingers through her hair. We stay connected. She gently rocks back and forth against me, getting me going easily enough.

I pull away and lock eyes with her, “I love you Rain.” Her eyes grow wide.

“Tell me again.” She whispers. I can't help but laugh.

“I love you.” A tight smile appears on her face.

“Again.”

“I love you, Rain Elliot Morgan.” It's a semi awkward moment where she just looks at me and I expect her to say it back to me but I'm not ashamed to say I love her even if she doesn't.

“I love you Harry Edward Styles.”

I need her.

She reads me mind and lays back on the bed stretching out her body as if to taunt me then props her elbows up, “You joining me or is it bed time?” She winks at me and I all but jump next to her embracing her with everything I have.

Please do a sequel!

@All-is-on
Ah thank you!! I'm super excited that you're reading my other stories, Liam's story needs a bit more looking back at it but it was my first! And a lot of people don't like how I ended it, I've been thinking about adding a bonus chapter for a while but I'm all wrapped up in Niall's story at the moment! :)
