Running After You
Twenty Eight
* Two Days Later *
“Liam, he left me,” I sobbed into his shoulder. We were at his house, because I couldn't afford to pay for the hotel. “He left me hungover in an abandoned parking lot and I don't even know why!”
“Rosa, you can't recall anything from that night? Maybe you saying something that would tick him off?” Liam knew something–I could tell. He was holding something back from me.
I looked up at him with swollen eyes. “What do you know, Liam?”
“I don't know what your talking about, Rosa. I don't know anything!” I jabbed my finger into Liam's chest.
“You do! You're lying! You know where Niall is! You're–you– you're hiding him from me!”
Liam sighed. “Naomi–”
“Do not call me that,” I seethed, pushing him off of me. I clenched my fists, diggin my nails into my palms.
“Rosa, you're bleeding–”
“Tell me what you know!” I smashed my fists against the wall, and if they were cheap, they'd probably have put a hole in it. I closed my eyes, knowin the water works were coming.
I slid to my knees.
“Just…just tell me where he is…” I whispered.
“He's going back to Mullingar. Said he would make a few stops if necessary. Taking some trains down to Cheshire– then on a plane to Dublin.”
