Running After You
Nineteen
Rosa was the very definition of radiant. Look it up in a dictionary and you'll see a picture of her.
She wore a leather-looking, tight dress that showed just a bit of cleavage. Her red and teal hair was curled up and the front strands were tucked away behind her head.
I sat down slowly, making sure I didn't topple my plate from total shock and admiration. Her cheeks were bright red against her pale, ghost-ish skin.
She clung to Gemma like her life depended on it as she walked in her high heels—something I've never seen her wear or even look at before.
Gemma whispered to her behind me, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I saw that it wasn't only me who was looking at Rosa; Harry had made it obvious that he was attracted to her.
But, knowing Harry, I wouldn't let him have her.
Rosa and Gemma sat down at the table. Gemma was next to me, and Rosa next to Harry. He whispered something in her ear, making her eyes widen and look at him weirdly.
"So, Niall, how did I do?" Gemma asked. I nodded my head, my eyes still attached to Rosa and Harry.
"Um, this is a wonderful dinner, Anne. Thank you," Rosa said, trying to get out of talking to Harry.
"Thank you, dear. And my, my, you girls look absolutely …"
"Breathtaking," I finished for her.
