Running After You

Ten

"Wow," Rosa said as she looked up at The London Eye. "It's beautiful." I nodded.

"It is," I said, pulling into the small parking lot next to it.

"Wait, we're going on it?!" I smiled, nodding.

"Well, we have to have a little fun on this goose chase, don't we?" Emotion shot through Rosa's eyes, but then she perked up, nodding excitedly, and opened the car door. I got out of her car, locking it, and putting the keys in my pocket, watching Rosa get into line to buy a London Eye ticket.

"C'mon, slowsie! Go faster," she whined, stomping her foot and crossing her arms like a child. I laughed and jogged to her. "Finally. You've gotta work on that." I laughed again, seeing it was our turn to get a ticket.

After much arguing much about who was going to buy the tickets, we decided to buy only one by each other. She bought mine and I bought hers. Which is weird... But whatever.

"I say again!" Rosa yelled as soon as we got going on the London Eye, "Wow!" Luckily we got a cabin all to ourselves, and not with weird, foreign people.

Rosa smooshed her face against the glass. "Come look at the stars!" I took her shoulder, laying down on the floor. She followed suit, getting what I was doing.

"So you like stars?" She laughed.

"I was going to go to uni for Astronomy," she said, then got quiet. She turned her head away from me, making me look at her red and blue hair.

She pointed out constellations to me. "The Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Hercules, Leo," she listed to me, smiling as she did so.

"And it's a waxing crescent," she said. "That means the right side of the moon is lit up, and it looks like a thumbnail, or a banana." I laughed.

"I've never heard of a banana moon before." She laughed.

"Neither have I." From the side of our cabin, we could see Big Ben, all lit up.

"You what I've always wondered," I asked, going on my side and propping my head up with my elbow.

"What," she said, turning to me, then backing away a little because we were a little too close for her liking. She was laying on her belly, her arms on the floor to prop her up.

"What it would be like to go zero gravity." She nodded, like she was excepting my answer. "Like, none at all."

"You can do that if your an astronaut."

"Well, obviously I am not an astronaut." She jabbed her finger into my chest.

"That's what an astronaut would say..." She joked.

"Alright, you two," a worker said. "Time to get off, now."
