An Amazing Summer
Ready For Summer?
Jessica's POV
"OH MY GOD!" I exclamed as I walked out of my room holding my brandnew iPhone "I can't believe it, are you serious?" "Of course I am, babe Im going to London for summer, and you're coming with me." Kate
said through the phone. "I still can't believe it, but how did you manage to do that?" I asked. "I begged my parents for days and they finally agreed to pay for everything." I heard Kate say.
Sometimes I really wonder how Kate's parents manage to put up with her, she gets whatever she wants and thats what makes her Kate.
" Wow, Kate this is amazing, Im really excited!!" I said "Just don't forget to pack your bags, we're going next week!" she replied.
"Alright babe, gotta go, mom's calling me downstairs, she said she wants to have a talk with me, AGAIN, anyways bye kitty!' I said as I was about to hang up.
"Love you!!" she finally said.
I could feel the tension as I walked downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was cooking dinner, why did she wanna talk to me? I mean, I've done everything to make her happy I don't know why she keeps having those "talks" with me. I've been through a really hard period in my life where I couldn't stop drinking, alcohol was like water to me and it washed the pain away. At that time, everything went bad in my life and I didn't even know why I started drinking it just sort of happened; it also affected my grades and my mom wasn't very happy about it. One day I decided I'd stop ruining my life, it was hard at first but I stayed strong. I didn't completely stop drinking, I still drink beer during parties but moderately, I almost never get drunk which is why I'm doing good in school, I'm really proud of my self.
"Smells good! What are you cooking for dinner?" I asked
"Chicken with mashed potatoes, hope you're hungry!" she said
"Yessss I am..oh and what did you wanna talk to me about?" I asked my voice shaking.
"You know, Kate's mom called me, she told me about you going to London" she said as she turned around to face me. "I thought about it for quiet a while now and I decided you're allowed to go. BUT don't forget about your drinking issues, don't party alot, you're 18 and I suppose you're old enough to know whats right and wrong for you, London is far from L.A and I won't be able to be there for you, so don't get into any trouble, I trust you and I hope you'll do the right thing sweety."
I couldn't believe it, mom is letting me go to LONDON?? with my BEST FRIEND?? I must be dreaming. I jumped around and wrapped my arms around her neck.
"I LOVE YOU MOM!!!" I shouted cheerily
I feel like this is going to be an unforgettable summer.
