Now We Have Love ♥A 1D and 5SOS Adoption Story♥
"It's been a long time since I was that orphaned kid who didn't trust anybody. It started with my dad, y'know? He was… he was honestly good and truthful." I told Alan Carr truthfully. He nodded, giving me an encouraging smile.
We seemed to have shifted from playfully banter to serious answers in one question.
"It was hard to believe him at first but he stuck by me. He didn't abandon me like I thought he would and after the third time I ran away I finally understood that." I smiled as the memories ran through my mind, just as fresh as they were two years ago.
The first time I left everyone freaked out because they thought something like what had happened to Liv and Taylor happened to me. But I was found a couple days later at a coffeehouse in some small town. It was absolute hell and it seemed like everyone was mad at me. I couldn't really blame them. I was being completely and utterly ridiculous and irresponsible. Even I couldn't recognize myself when it was over.
"Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. You ran away three times?!" Alan exclaimed. "The media only knew about one!" Oops…
"Yeah, after the first time dad and I got in a huge argument and I said that he should get used to my behavior because I refuse to live with someone who wasn't family and I ran way again later that night and then again the next week…just for good measure." I winked cheekily.
"Probably gave the poor lad a heart attack, you sneaky ninja." Alan gasped, totally scandalized.
"You know it." I laughed.
"Speaking of sneaky..." Alan trailed off with a devilish glint in his eyes and I mentally cringed. Please don't ask the question. Please don't ask the question.
"There's been a lot of speculation that you and Rita Ora are dating. I mean her and Calvin Harris are officially over and you two just had a very 'intimate' cover shoot a few days ago and everyone wants confirmation. So is it true?"
I chuckled lightly to hide my nerves but it wasn't really helping.
"Yes I'm bisexual and yes we just had that very close photo shoot but no. Sorry to break your heart, Alan, but Rita and I are strictly friends." I said, keeping my tone light and airy even though I was internally screaming. The whole crowd seemed to boo at my words and I stuck my tongue out at them.
Everyone just assumes that because Rita and I are close and we're both bisexual that we're secretly dating. Or lovers. Or even married in Guatamala. It's insane, really. I just like being around my "wifey." Is that a crime?
When I told Dad and everyone else that mattered about my sexual preferences I expected them to freak out and disown me or act differently from before but things were virtually the same.
"Ah, poo. I even made you gals a ship name." Alan whined and I laughed.
"Oh really?" I asked, genuinely intrigued. "Tell me."
"Okay, okay." Alan said and the crowded clapped in appreciation as he grabbed a notebook. "It's Meta."
I laughed as the crowed cheered, Alan's messy scrawl being shown on his studio tv.
"Oh my gosh, I love it." I gushed.
"You better. It took me a whole week and three producers to come up with it." He joked and the studio roared with laughter.
Suddenly my phone buzzed in my bag and I looked to see that it was a snapchat from Dad. Insert sigh, he was never one for timing.
I quickly opened the photo and laughed at his silly face.
"Throwing rocks at your window at midnight." He had typed and I groaned at the cheesy song lyrics.
"Alan, do you mind taking a snapchat with me? Dad doesn't understand that interviews aren't the time for picture conversations." I said.
"Sure." He replied and I moved toward his couch. "But we're doing the duck face." He said, dead ass serious. The crowd couldn't get enough of him.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." I smiled and then we fabulously posed for the snappie.
"You mean socks right? Because if you break my window I ain't paying. Smh." The snappie showed up on the screen and we all laughed together in mutual sassiness.
-20 minutes later-
"Everybody give Ms.Melody Hood a hand!" Alan said as I stood up to leave the set. I bowed gracefully and then strutted off the stage, something I had come to do even when I wasn't on the runway.
Just as my feet left the stage and I was out of camera range my phone buzzed again. Assuming that it was Dad again my smile grew from faux to genuine. Opening the snapchat app I saw that it wasn't Dad bit some random user. It literally said Anonymous324665.
They didn't even have a profile picture.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion but I opened the photo anyway.
"It's not hard to lie when you don't even know who you are." It was a photo of a birth certificate. The areas where the parent's names were supposed to be was blurred out. At first I didn't know why I was looking at this and then I snapshotted it and checked my photos. After zooming in a few times my eyes widened and I actually gasped in surprise.
The birth certificate was mine.
Hey guys it's Melody!!!! I disappeared because I went to camp and then I went to my grandparents house and I haven't seen internet in weeks. But here's an update so YAYYYYY!!!
