Prisoning Truth
Hesitation. (50th Chapter)
...........................
Giselle's POV:
.........................
I slowly glide out of the bathroom, feeling comfortable and clean. Just as I begin to walk towards Harry’s room, a light pat gets placed over my shoulder; making me turn around instantly. I get greeted with a middle-aged woman, humble yet classical with her appearance. She doesn’t hold any sings of aging, which compliments her pretty features.
The smile that’s covering her mouth is identical to the dimpled smile that Harry’s always portraying.“Hello, darling. I’m glad you’re feeling better today. (She scans my body quickly) Are Gemma’s clothes comfortable? If not, then tell me and I’ll get you something of my own.” I shake my head instantly, denying her kind offer politely.
“Thank you, really Ma’am. I’m quite grateful for your hospitality. I wished that our first meeting would have been in a better situation. But I’m really glad that I finally have the honour to meet you.” She cocks her eyebrow, with an amused smile over her features. “Call me Ma’am one more time, and I won’t be pleasant anymore. (I chuckle along with her light joke) I’m just Anne, nothing more dear. (She hugs me all of a sudden, taking me by surprise) You’re such a respectable young lady, Giselle. I’m so pleased that you and Harold are safe at last.” Her arms let go of the warmful hug, as we both share a smile. “Come, let’s get something in your digestive system. I’m sure you’re hungry. The boys and their families are joining us soon.”
…An Hour Later…
The humble house’s quietness was now substituted with endless laughter and conversations. I’ve got the chance to meet all of the boys’ family members, and to my fortunate luck, I actually enjoyed all of their presence and company. We were all gathered in the backyard where breakfast was served.
I smiled every time my eyes saw the five men smiling. Each one of them was on the peek of their happiness, being reunited with their loved ones, at last. But at the same time, I felt something that I could never let out. I’m the only one without a family; I’m the outsider in this wonderful frame of reunion. “(I wipe my mouth with a paper tissue, standing up from my seat) Excuse me for a moment, please.” All of their eyes glance on me, while I begin to march inside in silence.
I find myself walking towards the living room, planting myself on the couch with a surprising sadness. My hand reaches over the coffee table, grabbing a certain photo frame that caught my eye (http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article803836.ece/alternates/s615b/HARRY%20STYLES%20AS%20A%20TODDLER.jpg). I don’t know why, but I begin to cry and laugh at the same time; as I stare at his picture. This is the firs time I see Harry as a child, and my god does he look so innocent and adorable.
I think the reason of my crying tears, is that I feel left out right now. I suppose if I leave and go back to my apartment, no one will notice my missing presence. My fingertips run over Harry’s face, making me sob and smile more. “Hey.” I jolt up in my seat, at the sound of the familiar voice. He sits beside me without any hesitation, hovering his arms around me. “I felt you weren’t alright, I just knew. Why are you crying Giselle?” I shrug at Liam’s question, sniffling my nose and cutting the sobs midway. Liam has been always the one with the rational mind and clear mentality, so I suppose it would be a relief if I spoke my thoughts to him.
