What Makes You Beautiful

"9-1-1, what is your emergency?" The phone operator said.

"There is a man strangling a woman. We are at The Beverly Hills Hotel. We need help fast." I trembled.

"Okay. Help is on the way miss. Also don't get involved and stay calm for me okay?" The operator responded.

"Too late, my friend is already trying to pry the man off of the woman. What should I do?" I said.

"Tell her to get off of him." The operator started to sound like she is getting annoyed. I put the phone to my chest.

"MADISON GET OFF OF HIM!" I screamed. Madison got off and the man started to run after us. We ran and ran until we found a utility closet that wasn't locked. We hid in there.

"Where did Marathi go?" I whispered. Just then I heard shouting from outside the door. It sounded really close.

"PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD AND GET DOWN ON THE GROUND NOW!" I looked out of the window that was on the door and found that there were at least 20 policemen circling the man. The man slowly got down on the ground and put his hands on his head.

We came out of the closet and the man looked at us and gave us a dirty look. We ran up to the room to see if the woman was okay.

"Is she okay?" I asked one of the paramedics.

"Um. Why don't you have a seat?" She responded. We walked over to a chair and sat down.

"Did you know this woman?" The paramedic asked.

"Um..no we didn't." I said.

"Well, sadly, she didn't make it through." The paramedic looked down.

Just then a police officer came up behind us.

"When did you notice something was the matter?" He asked.

"Um. Well I started unpacking because I am starting to stay here hoping my singing career will take off and I heard screaming so I went downstairs to get someone to open the door and make sure everything was alright. We got up here and he was sitting on top of her grabbing a hold of her neck." Madison spoke up.

"Do you mind showing us the position he was in?" He asked.

"Umm..sure. Do you want to be the girl or the guy Sammy?" Madison asked me.

"The girl I guess." I responded.

I got down and Madison showed the police officer the position he was in. The police man released us to go.

"Do you want to walk around Hollywood for a little while?" Madison looks at me.

"Sure let me grab my stuff, I will meet you in the lobby in around 5 minutes." I said.

I went to my room and grabbed my sunglasses, purse, and my money. I went down the stairs to kill some time while I waited on Madison. I got down to the lobby and she still wasn't there so I sat down in one of the chairs. Around two minutes later Madison comes bursting out of the elevator.

"Hey gurly. What took you so long? I have had 90 birthdays already." I giggled.

"HAHAHA very funny. I was grabbing my stuff. How long have you been waiting here?" She asked sarcastically.

"About two minutes." I said.

We walked out of the hotel and walked down the street going in and out of a few stores. We were talking and then decided we were hungry. We stopped at a McDonald's. I ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget meal with fries and a soda. I paid and got my food. I walked over to the nearest open table and started eating. Madison sat across from me.

"I know this sounds stupid, but I feel like its my fault that the woman died today. Like we weren't there to save her in time." I said looking down.

"NO NO NO NO sweetie it wasn't your fault that she died. It's that dumb guys fault. Don't think that Sammy. Its NOT your fault." Madison reassured me.

"I know but if we could have walked in sooner then she might still be alive right now." I said. I was bawling now. Great. Out in the middle of McDonald's. Madison rushed over and hugged me. I don't know why I thought it was my fault. I just did. I turned my attention back to my food.

Once we finished eating, we headed back out to the great outdoors. We saw a store called DC Shoes and walked in. We started looking around and then I heard loud laughing. It sounded familiar. Then I felt a nudge in my side.

"Ow what was th-" I was cut off by seeing someone I didn't think I would ever run into in person.
