Harry's POV

It's been a week.

A hell of a depressing week that I spend every waking moment a can spare next to Kasey's side.

I knew that was going to happen and yet I barely did anything!
I should have tried harder to get Kasey to stay at the alley with me for at least a few more seconds and then this wouldn't have happened.

Those dick heads from the gang across town tried to rob a jewellery store on my side of town and then they hurt the one person I care about.

They're going to pay for this and it's going to be slow and painful.

I looked over to Kasey as I was sitting in a chair that I had pushed up right next to her bed, I pulled a few strands of her soft brown hair out of her face and tucked them behind her ear.

My poor baby.

All I can do right now is hope and pray that I'm here for her when she wakes up, and that she doesn't get scared when she see's me here.

I refuse to leave her alone when I'm all she has even though she doesn't know it yet.
Those stupid idiots from the orphanage probably don't even know she's missing yet, I had convinced the hospital not to call them as they believed what I had told them about Kasey and I.

I just hope Kasey doesn't tell them the truth when she wakes up.

For some reason Kasey actually thinks that the owners of her orphanage actually 'care' about her which is total bullshit.
They are only caring towards the amount of money having Kasey there brings them.

They probably don't even care where she is right now.

But I do, I always will.

She may not understand, hell she might never understand but I will do my best to explain this all to her one day.

I checked my watch to see that I had a gang meeting to run in ten minutes and knew if I didn't leave soon then I would be late, not that the leader is ever late.

Sighing I took one last long look at Kasey.

I don't want to leave but I have to or nothing is going to be ready for us when she wakes up. I reached out to touch her hand, just as mine was inches away from her hand, hers twitched making me gasp and stand up rather fast.

The high pitched sound the legs of the chair made hurt my ears but seemed to have no affect on Kasey as she continued to move her fingers slightly.

Screw the meeting! I need to be here!

I pushed the call button that was next to Kasey on the wall before bending down to be eye level with my beautiful girl.

"Kasey? Baby can you hear me?" I spoke quietly as I remembered the doctors had told me she would be very sensitive when she first wakes up.

Her eyes began to flutter and she tilted her head away from me.

God I hope she doesn't freak when she notices me.

I didn't get the chance to say anything else as the door burst open and two doctors and one nurse ran in. The doctors and nurses here are shit which is why I don't like to leave Kasey alone for too long.

Yesterday I came to see her after a meeting I had and found that no one had checked her for like three hours!

They don't take this seriously because she is an orphan, but she is my orphan and I will not let her be treated that way.

"She moved!" I explained to them as I shook the female doctors hand off of my shoulder as she was being pathetic right now trying to calm me down when she should be focusing on Kasey.

"Sir what do you expect us to do? We can't do much until she shows more signs of waking up."

I glared at the lady and looked over at the male doctor who was brushing Kasey's hair out of her face.

Oh hell no.

"Oi you! Don't do that dude. She's mine!" He rolled his eyes and softly placed his hand over top of Kasey's. What the hell is he doing? He knows that Kasey is only seventeen so why is he doing this?

"We explained to you that there is no way of knowing that she'll remember you! It doesn't matter what you say, until she remembers about it herself then she isn't yours." He mumbled and brushed his thumb over Kasey's hand.

My breathing was going rapid.

She's mine, only mine.

No one is allowed to be that close to her let alone touch her! Why the hell else would I work so hard to make sure she was never adopted?!

"Get the fuck out then! I will call you when she makes anymore movement." I snapped and just as I did Kasey mumbled something under her breath making us all snap in her direction.

She blinked a few times and the doctors finally gasped and ran to her chart thing to check all her vitals and shit. People started to talk louder and louder and it was easy to see that they were starting to hurt her ears, what idiots I mean they tell me to be quiet around her when she wakes up but then they do the exact opposite!

I took a moment to text Louis and tell him what was going on since he was the only one that knew about Kasey.

To Louis:
Dude cancel the meeting until further notice. Kasey is awake.

Kasey's mumbling started to become clearer and the doctors gave her a bit more space and quietened down, only after I threatened them.

"W-what's going on?" Kasey spoke for the first time and it came out rough and cracking but I still smiled knowing that she was okay.

She's so brave.

"Sweetheart you're in the hospital. It's a miracle that you're okay." The female doctor spoke soothingly to Kasey but she didn't seem to register anything she was saying.

After a couple of minutes she tried again.

"Do you know your name sweetie?" She smiled trying to make it seem like she wasn't nervous but this moment right now will tell us whether or not Kasey remembers anything.

"Um H-heather?" She looked so uncertain and sad, I walked over to her and she showed no sign of knowing who I was.

"That's good sweetie, really good but that's your last name. Do you remember your first name?" Her eyes dulled and she looked down.

Oh god please no...

"I - I can't remember." A single tear fell down her cheek as she wiped it away while still looking down. My heart ached right now, I had spent years watching her and know it's all for fucking nothing!

"Do you remember his name?" The male doctor spoke up for the first time and pointed to me.

Shit.

She looked up and over at me. Her eyes locked onto mine and I watched as some of the dullness in her eyes faded.

"Henry?" Ouch... that's not as bad as I thought it would be though.

"Harry." I corrected her while sending her a smile, she returned it un-sure just like she usually would after school on her way past the alley.

"You don't remember him do you?" The male asked again making my blood boil. I will seriously punch him if he ruins this for me.

"No. Should I?" Kasey asked while looking worried.

I spoke up before anyone else had the chance too.

"Of course you should sweetheart. I'm your boyfriend."

I swear it's not moving to fast! It's just that the whole point of the story is about what happens after this not before!
