I woke up earlier than yesterday and spent some time being lazy and watching TV form the warmth of my bed. I got out of bed at the same time I woke up yesterday morning. I could get used to this. I can see why Carmen wanted me to come.
I threw back my blankets and ran to my suitcase to get clothes and hurry up to go get in the shower so I wouldn't be cold anymore. When I was done, the clouds from yesterday had left and the sun was shining. I checked the weather on my phone an it was supposed to get to 70 degrees (F) today. Of course, that's kinda chilly for me because I live in California, but you know, you get what you can get.
I dressed in printed leggins and a grey graphic tee, then threw a sweatshirt on over it.

I tied my hair up in a ponytail, then covered it with a beanie. I put my laptop in my messenger bag along with a notebook, pens, my wallet, and some granola bars, then put my nerd glasses on and walked to the elevator, then to the next elevator, then walked outside and back to Starbucks. I need some kind of organization in my life for the next three months, so why not go to Starbucks every morning at 9:30?
As I walked inside, I noticed that the same five guys where there again, except this time it wasn't just us six. It was a lot of other people, too.
Well, not a lot, just a few other people. Like, two, but seriously. I hate public places. I ordered, then went and sat down at the same table as yesterday, noting that the five guys were sitting at the same booth as yesterday, too. I pulled out my laptop and plugged it in to the wall next to me, hoping I wouldn't get in trouble for that, and sent a quick email saying hi to my friends, then sent a slightly more detailed email to Tyler with pictures I had taken of the rain, along with some really cool lightning shots I had gotten and then some of this morning when I was walking here.
I texted Carmen and Shelby, knowing it was probably bedtime or already-in-bed-time for them, but I couldn't help it. Of course, Carmen being Carmen, she texted me back immediately. I told her to go to sleep then stopped texting her after that. My order was called and I went up to grab it at the same time that the guy who was in front of me yesterday, who I'm going to start calling curly because of his hair, went up to get his coffee.
He turned around and I was immediately shy because he had those perfect green eyes that all green-eyed people want. That and he was nearly perfect.
"Hello," he said.
"Hi," I replied, trying to reach around him to get my coffee.
"You were here yesterday."
"You were here too," I said, still trying to get to my coffee. "This is a public place, you know."
I finally got ahold of my coffee and I walked back to my table. Curly followed. I noticed the boys that he was SUPPOSED to be sitting with snickering.
"Listen, if this is some kind of joke, I'd rather not be the victim of it, so you can go back to your friends now," I snapped.
He looked offended, then surprised. "What makes you say that?"
"Your friends over there. They're giggling like schoolgirls who just met someone famous," I said, pointing over at them. They snopped snickering and looked down at their hands once they realized I had seen them. Curly looked back at them.
"Well that was rude," Curly said, looking back at me.
"Pray tell," I said. "How was it so?"
He just stared at me. "So you don't know who I am?"
"Should I? I'm pretty sure I've never met you before."
"Well, a lot of people haven't but they still know who I am," he replied sitting down across from me. I groaned inwardly.
"Well, good for them then," I said, putting my laptop back in my bag. I stood up. "So, if you'll excuse me, I have somewhere I should probably be."
"Wait!" he said, digging in his pocket. He pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me. "I'm Harry, by the way."
"Carmella," I said, nodding once and walking out.
