The Girl
"Do you think she's a fan?" Zayn whispered, playing with the lid of his coffee cup.
"If she was, wouldn't she have asked for autographs or pictures or something by now?" Niall whispered back.
"Not necessarily," Liam replied.
"You should go talk to her, Harry," Louis said, grinning like a ninny.
"No. It looks like she's waiting for someone," Harry answered, watching the girl.
An hour later, the girl still hadn't left, and was now playing with her coffee cup absentmindedly.
"Rain, rain, go away, come again another day!" Louis sang. The boys figured out what his plan was quickly and they all joined in.
The girl smiled sadly at her phone then continued watching the rain.
"If she were waiting for someone, don't you think she'd be a little more dressed up?" Niall asked, causing all the boys to look at her. "I know I would be."
"That's just you, Ireland," Louis said.
Niall opened his mouth to say something but Harry covered his mouth.
"Look! She's answering her phone!" he said, causing all the boys to look again.
"Who do you think she's talking to?" Niall whispered.
"Probably her boyfriend. Look at how she's smiling," Harry said sadly. "I've seen my mum smile at my stepdad that way."
"Awww! Does widdle Hawwy have a cwush?" Louis whispered mockingly.
"Shut up, Boo Bear!" Harry said, punching Louis.
"Stop fighting! There'll be plenty of time for that sometime else," Liam said, reaching acrss the table and smacking Harry's hand.
"Yeah, it looks like she's hanging up," Zayn whispered, pointing briefly at the girl.
"I meant because we have to get to the studio. Let's go," Liam said, standing up and putting his jacket on.

Notes
Wow. THAT was confusing. For me, at least. I've never written in third person before. Or second. Or whatever this is. I've always written in first person.
