51+ people dead, at least 7 are children (they are believed to have drowned in standing water in a hallway of their school -- they are elementary age).

To put together a care package:

Water (plastic bottles of all sizes)
Non-perishable food
Clothing (clean, gently used -or- newly bought)
Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, sewing kit, razors, shaving cream, body wash, lotion, etc.)
Other bathroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.)
Cots
Sleeping bags

I hope you all find it in your hearts to donate to this cause, either by volunteering or donating money or putting together care packages, because we all have so much more than the victims of this horrible natural disaster. For more up-to-date information, turn your TV to CNN.
