Invisible I
Nando's
I threw my bag on the couch, then decided I had a lot of energy so I ran up three flights of stairs, kicking off my shoes in the process, and vaulted onto my bed and used it as a trampoline, flipping and twisting and rolling around. When I finally landed on my back, I started laughing at myself, then turned on the TV.
The first thing I hear is an announcer shouting "And here's One Direction!", so I changed the channel before the image could even come up on the screen. I took out my phone and the piece of paper Harry had given me and entered it into my contacts, then texted him.
Me: Hey it's caramel
Me: Carmella. stupid autocucumber.
Me: *Autocorrect
Of course, me being me, I don't look at the text until I hit send and it's gone, so I ended up sending it in three messages. That will definitely make an impression. I channel surfed for awhile, looking for a decent show to watch, even if I had to watch something stupid like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. But I couldn't find even THAT, which I suppose is a good thing because the hot dog dance song always gets stuck in my head, as does the theme song. It gets really annoying. Then my phone started playing "Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae, alerting me that I had gotten a text message.
Harry: hey
Okay, so he gives me his phone number and wants me to text him and he just gives me a one-word, one-syllable reply? I'm not initiating the conversation! He wanted to talk to me!
Me: Okay, so u obviously wanted 2 talk 2 me so u go and give me a 1 syllable reply? wow.
Harry: I was going to send more but my mates were watching me
Mates? Huh? Oh... wait... Ha. My stupid American mind.
Me: sorry
Harry: r u going 2 be at starbucks again tomorrow?
I debated telling him that I would, but in the end, I figured he would probably be there again anyway.
Me: yeah.
He didn't reply, so I grabbed my laptop from my bag and watched Nanny McPhee, then decided it was time for lunch, so I took out my phone and tapped on my Urban Spoon app and found a place called Nando's. It wasn't too far from my hotel, I just needed to reemember not to walk there on a rainy day.
But since it wasn't rainy today I decided to walk.
When I got to Nando's, I walked inside and scanned the restaraunt, pretending like I was waiting for someone. And that's when I saw him.
