Never is A Promise

Aly and I celebrated with a round of beer at the bar with the new management team before we headed back to our new apartment in downtown London only a few minutes walking distance from the boys. We had found that out after Louis had drove us to and from work when my ’11 Camaro was in the shop and Aly’s Solara had a dead battery a few weeks prior.

I pulled out all our alcohol and the left over jello shots I’d made while I was bored the day before and texting Dani and El to come over to help us celebrate they “Lets invite the boys over!!!” Aly yelled. I nodded “Wait they haven’t seen you out of your wheelchair yet!” she yelled again only one drink in and the girl was already going nuts. I laughed at my overly hyper roommate, its no wonder Niall and her got along. “Hi babe! Do you all wanna come over? .. No reason…”

“Bullshit!” I screamed from across the apartment pulling off my jewelry and blazer exchanging it for a see thru blue button up white knee high socks and switching my jean shorts for black boy short underwear that looked like really short spandex with lace edging.

“Fine because Mic-J” Aly caught herself “has on knee socks and looks really hot right now,”

“And” I prompted as I slide toward her down the wood floored hall pulling out Tom Cruise’s classic cheater splits down and up drop “And is impersonating Tom Cruise!!! RISKY BUSINESS PARTY!!!! I WANNA BE BATMAN!” I fell over laughing.

“Yes! A themed celebration party!” I pulled out my phone texting Dani and El to bring the sexy girly versions of risky business for tonight.

“Oh no, we are just celebrating actually getting the job as your PR Managers” Aly finally admitted to Niall and the other boys “But we are doing this party risky business themed, oh and Dani and El are coming so you better get the others over here too….WHAT DO YOU MEAN I’M ON SPEAKER PHONE!!!” She shrieked I fell over laughing. “Shut up MJ!!!... No she’s laughing at me… Ok! See you soon!!! Remember RISKY business!!!” She said before hanging up.

“So they are coming?” I asked laughed.

“YEP!!! Lets get ready!!!! Well I have to get ready you look hot already.”

“Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na- BATMAN!!!” I yelled following her to her dresser and pulling out her Batman cape socks. “Five bucks Harry wears his Superman socks” I told Aly before texting everyone in the group except Harry the same thing.

“You’re on!” Aly laughed I looked at my phone everyone took me up on the bet.

Except for Louis, “I’m not taking that chance”

And Liam who texted for him and Dani“ Dani and I agree we aren’t stupid. And between you and me we both know he’s going to wear them, they have capes they are superman and this is Harry” I laughed. They knew better than to bet against me when it came to Harry.

The doorbell rang as El opened the door “Hey Aly, MJ, Its El, Dani and Liam!” She called in. I turned to Aly who was trying to decide between white or grey boyshorts.

“Grey, they are cuter, and not see thru” I said sticking my head out the bedroom door “Hey Guys!” I ran over hugging each of them.

As I pulled away from Dani my phone buzzed I looked down “Louis, Ha!” I yelled.

“What?” El asked

“You owe me five bucks! Aly you too.” I laughed. Showing her the text ‘I knew better than to take that bet he’s running around the house yelling about how he’s Clark Kent, he’s even wearing the glasses!!!’ “He’s whining to me over text” I laughed as Dani and Liam read the text as well.

El groaned “Now do you understand what I have to deal with constantly?” I laughed nodding.

“I feel for you.”

“How’d you know he’d wear the superman socks?” Dani asked.

Liam laughed. “It wasn’t hard to guess its Harry, they have capes, and he loves superman, and
you gave him a reason to run around in socks.”

“We need to have a justice league themed party next time” Aly laughed from the door. I wolf whistled at her, loudly smiling.

The girls walked up to hug Aly as Liam came over “Harry teach you that one?” I nodded quirking an eyebrow at him as he went to hug Ally. “It was a lucky guess,” he called as the door opened with a series of knocks. Louis and Harry, we’re walked in. We all smiled at Harry who was indeed wearing his caped Superman socks and Clark Kent glasses.

“Damn I really do owe you five bucks” Aly grumbled causing everyone to laugh except Harry who looked at us confused, “She bet me five that you’d were your superman socks” Aly said sticking the five into my underwear.

El pulled out a five as well following Aly’s example “El you took that bet?!” Louis asked. I laughed nodding as El shrugged before walking over to cuddle into his chest.
“We need Music!!!” Aly yelled before turning to stare at me. “MJ!!!! Put on my Party song!” Aly laughed.

I clicked on the surround sound that was wirelessly connected to my phone I hit play on ‘Brokenhearted’ by Karmin shaking my head. “Shots?” I asked every one nodded following me into the kitchen. I poured a row of sour apple vodka shots. I turned to Aly “PANCAKES!” I yelled. Looping my arm with hers.

“DUSTS!!!” she yelled back as we took the shot. When we finished we looked around, everyone was staring at us. “Volleyball tradition you take the first shot with team mates and yell each others team nicknames as a toast.” Aly shrugged as everyone nodded.

“The party is here!!!” We hear Niall yell from the other room as we heard the door shut.
“In the kitchen!” I called, Zayn and Niall rounding the corner a few seconds later. “We have shots for you!” I said

“You’re out of the wheelchair!!!” Niall yelled.

“I knew something was different” Louis yelled as everyone laughed moving to hug me again. I laughed as the boys and girl hugged me Harry was last picking me up spinning me around.
“Ok now in true Risky Business style!’ I said “We drink more and then dance and see who does the best Tom Cruise impersonation while drunk.”

“Chocolate Cake Shots!” Aly yelled pulling out the pan of shots I’d poured earlier that day from the freezer. I grabbed the Sugar and lemon out of the fridge.

“How many of these did you make?” Liam asked looking at the pan.

“Sixty to start with but I might have taken a few while I was making them” I said, “They are my favorite shot,” I explained.

“All at once” Aly said as we dipped the lemon slices in the sugar “what are we toasting?”

“Amazing jobs, great friends and bright futures!” I said immediately. Everyone nodded raising their lemon. “One, two , three!” I called as we all sucked the sugar from the lemons, grabbed a shot and tossed it back before biting the lemon. I hummed in contentment smiling as I put the lemon rind into the trash. We laughed around a game of kings cup, and threw a drinking game with Tangled and a game of 'fuck the dealer' in which we all teamed up and got Harry very drunk.

Notes

So I took a writing class this last term and the teacher always said to listen to your characters so I did and this chapter and prolly the next few are going to be the result of listening to my Mick and Harry, and Louis.
