The Girl Next Door
Virgin Girl is No More
She walked towards me. Her eyes on mine, she came up to me. She put her hands around my neck. Her nose touching mine, she kissed the corner of my mouth. Not being able to withstand the sexual tension, I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her down with me onto the bed. I kissed her so hard, as though I had some bottled up passion that needed to be released. I could feel her hands under my shirt feeling my abs. I nuzzled my mouth on her neck, planting gentle kisses. She rolled onto her back. I stopped for a minute and looked into her dark eyes. "Lily I lo..."
"Wake up you lazy bag of bones!!!"
Someone was shouting at me and I felt my covers being removed. I rubbed my eyes and looked up. It was Lily. I jumped back a step in surprise. Surprised by my dream I looked at her once again. My worst fears had been confirmed. I didn't look at Lily Meirs the same way I did a year ago.
The library was packed with kids. Midterm week I suppose. Duh. She sat opposite me, her head buried in To Kill A Mockingbird. I looked at her and noticed things I shouldn't be noticing. The way her soft, brown hair fell over her shoulders. The way her brown eyes sparkled every time she smiled. The way her eyebrows arched every time she looked exasperated or was being sarcastic. The way her...."Stop staring at me Harry, what's wrong with you?". I was lifted out of my trance. "Nothing" I replied solemnly. "Okay, so I've got something to tell you" she said, her eyes full of excitement I knew she was finding hard to contain. "What?" I asked, hoping it wouldn't be another Bonnie tale. "Come over to my house tonight. It's too important for a library. This place doesn't deserve to be the point of transaction of such classified information".
"What's wrong honey?" my mom called out. I was staring at my bowl of pasta, thinking of what to do with my Lily problem. "Nothing" I said and somehow managed to push my lunch down my throat. "Honey, I forgot to tell you the other day. Your brother came over last summer and, well, the garage is a mess. He and your father literally took apart every functioning appliance in this house. The mixer doesn't do smoothies anymore. I want you to go down there tomorrow and clean up that mess." I frowned but said yes anyway.
Killian Jones Styles. My big brother. Born in 1987, studying in University of London. His grades were fairly good. Fairly. The biggest flirt in town, I think he had two girlfriends at a point of time. Our parents had hoped for him to be my role model but, well, that went nowhere. Ever since I can remember, I have been cleaning up his messes. But that's fine because Killian Jones Styles is the best damn wingman ever.
It was about to be 8. I had convinced myself to go over there and tell her I loved her. I would come clean. I can clear up the air because I was sure that if I kept this secret I would never be able to be the same best friend to her. I walked over to her house and into her bedroom. "Lily, I have to tell you something, but you go first."
"Okay" she said "Now, don't be mad or anything like that. But, I lost my virginity last summer to your brother, Killian".
