Page’s POV

I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be.

Sitting across from Ed in a small diner where barely anyone else can see us is quite nice, and it’s really relaxing to know that this isn't so posh and over the top.

Because unlike Iggy Azalea, I'm not fancy.

I smiled as the waitress walked over, she was a little old to flirt with Ed and she didn't even try.

“What can I get for you?” She smiled and the little wrinkles next to her eyes grew.

Aw, she’s so adorable!

“I’ll have a hamburger and fries please.” Ed replied and smiled kindly to her before she wrote it down and turned to me.

“And for the lady?” She asked and I panicked and looked over the meals again on the board at the front of the diner.

“Oh my gosh this is so hard.” I mumbled making Ed chuckle.

“I guess I will have the chicken wings and salad please.” I smiled and she walked off telling us that our meals would be ready shortly.

Ed was still slightly laughing at me making me confused.

“What’s so funny?” I asked and couldn't hide the smile on face.

“Nothing, you’re just cute when you’re panicking.”

I looked down as I blushed and heard him chuckle again.

“You’re cute when you do that too.”

I playfully glared at him and we both laughed.

The smell of something greasy cooking started to drift around the diner making me realize how hungry I really was. Making stomach started to growl and I quickly covered it by clearing my throat to get his attention.

“So what’s your favourite colour?” I asked awkwardly as my mind went blank of all normal conversation starters.

“It’s blue.” He smiled shyly and I gasped quietly.

“Mine too.” I laughed and straightened out my shirt to keep myself slightly busy.

It was quiet between us as we enjoyed the music coming from somewhere around the diner.

The new Katy Perry song came on and Ed started to sing along making my eyes go wide.

“This is how we do, yeah, chilling, laid back
Straight stuntin' yeah we do it like that
This is how we do, do do do do, this is how we do”

“Wow” I muttered as he laughed and shyly looked away from me.

“What? I like that song.” He chuckled as his eyes found mine again.

For the first time tonight, I actually thought about how much we have in common.

Maybe this could work out…

“Me too Ed, me too.”

Hey!
I know their date sounds sort of lame but I've had one pretty much just like this and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But it was ages ago now so obviously he sung along to a different song.
