Hired For Harry
Chapter 19
Page’s POV
“Do you want to stay at my place tonight, love?” Harry mumbled into my lips after we had shared our second kiss of the night.
“Sure.” I smiled lightly.
Harry returned my smile with a dimpled one, his arms pulling me closer as he attacked my lips with his once again.
“Harry, can I talk to you alone for a moment?” Niall intervened, interrupting our moment.
“Um . . . sure.” Harry seemed slightly nervous but obliged anyway.
I watched as Harry followed Niall somewhere.
Now that I think about it Niall had been shooting Harry dirty looks all night.
What’s going on between them two?
I sighed inwardly, smoothing my dress down as I waited patiently for Harry and Niall to come back.
Harry and I were hitching a ride home with his friend, Ed Sheeran that I had yet to meet because apparently as Harry put it, he and Louis’ aren’t on ‘good terms’ at the moment, whatever that means.
“Are you Page?” Someone spoke from behind me.
I turned around slowly, my eyes widening at the sight of the red haired fellow.
“Yes and you must be Ed?” I questioned.
“Indeed I am.” He smirked, stepping closer to me. “Harry didn’t mention how incredibly beautiful you were.”
I couldn’t help but giggle a little.
“Thank you.” I mumbled quietly and tucked a lock of my blonde hair behind my ear.
I fidgeted with my fingers as an uncomfortable silence filled the air.
“So how are things with you and Harry?” Ed asked, starting a conversation that I didn’t want to have.
“Good.”
He didn’t push any further and I was grateful for that.
Harry and Niall came back and I heaved a sigh of relief, mentally thanking them for putting me out of my misery.
I tried to get Harry to meet my eyes but he ignored me.
What did Niall say to him?!
“I’ll see you later, Harry. Ed. Page.” Niall waved to the three of us before walking away.
Harry and Ed exchanged quick hellos before Ed showed us to his car.
My heart thumped anxiously in my chest.
“Did I do something wrong?” I whispered after we had slid into the back of Ed’s car.
Harry and I were in the back and Ed in the front.
He tilted his head back to look at me for the first time since he came back after him and Niall’s little talk.
“No.”
He hesitated a moment before resting his hand reassuringly on top of mine.
I didn’t believe him, although I wanted to, but instead of questioning him further, I sighed and laid my head down on his chest, drinking in his familiar scent.
