Hired For Harry
Chapter 17
Page’s POV
I woke up the next morning, irritated and exhausted.
I wanted to sleep in today but management had other plans.
They wanted me to attend some dumb award show with Harry.
Was it the Kid Choice Awards?
No.
Teen Choice Awards?
Never mind that, I don’t know and I don’t care.
Harry and the rest of One Direction were picking me up no later than six that night, so I decided to get dressed around four or so.
I spent the next few hours watching Pretty Little Liars reruns and stuffing my face with whatever I could find in the fridge.
Harry’s POV
“You okay, lad?” Louis’ asked as I struggled with my tie.
“Yeah. I’m fine.” I mumbled.
“I’ve known you for four years now, Haz. You are not okay,” Lou sighed, raking a hand through his hair. “Is it Page?”
Instead of answering, I nod glumly.
“What’s going on between you two? You haven’t told me anything.”
“Lou . . .,” I sighed. “I can’t tell you . . . I’m really sorry b-but you wouldn’t understand.”
I feel bad for keeping this from Louis, but Niall made me swear not to tell anyone and for Page, I agreed because I would do anything for her.
“Try me.” He urged.
“I can’t.”
“Fine, don’t tell me . . .” – “You’ve changed, Harry. I’m only trying to . . .”
He stopped mid-sentence and shook his head in defeat before leaving the room.
I didn’t call for him to come back, although I wanted to.
I had just lost my best friend for a girl.
But not just any girl.
For Page.
