T H I R T E E N

I woke up quite early the next morning, a few minutes before Deeliah's alarm, to be exact. All I could think about is Ashton. He's such an amazing person.

I was pulling on my top when I hear shuffling. Deeliah's up.

"Hey," She said sheepishly. "Why are you up so early?"

"I had a lot of fun last night!"

"Jenna!" Deeliah yelled, still squinting.

"No! No! Not that kind of fun. I was with Ashton, at the library, talking." Her eyes suddenly widened.

"Ashton?" She asked.

I nod. "I know you're not talking Ashton West because I know him and when you have Honor's English, I have calculus. And Ashton is my class." Her face goes pale. "I didn't catch his last name, but he's pretty awesome, and hot."

Her posture loosens a bit. "By the way. How did Calum go?"

"Um, good." I flash her a 'really?' look. "Spill," I demand.

"Alright, fine, it was the most amazing night of my life. He took me to this place that looks over the whole city. It was honestly magical." I give her a gesture, indicating for her to get to the action. "No, we did not kiss. We were so fricking close! But, I did get a kiss on the cheek, which is a-okay with me." That's my girl! "Now, let's talk about Ashton."

"What about him? He's great! Though he seemed like a bit nervous when I first saw him, is he new or something?" I simply ask.

"NO!" Deeliah thunders and I swear the ground shook. "Jenna! You just noticed him? He isn't new!"

"What did I s--"

"HE'S A REAL PERSON, HELLO? JENNA, HOW CAN YOU BE SUCH A BITCH?"

"EXCUSE ME?!?"

"ASHTON IS NOT INVISIBLE, WHY DIDN'T YOU KNOW HIM BEFORE??"

"HOW WOULD I KNOW? YOU'RE BEING AN ASS!!"

"Well, this ass doesn't want to be your roommate anymore."

"Fine, Liah! The fuck's gotten into you?"

"What's gotten into me? Your bitchiness. Hey! Don't spend more then ten minutes in the same room as Jenna or else you'll be a bitch too!"

"GET OUT!!"

"More than happy to." She ran out and slammed the door so hard a picture fell down from the wall. I went to pick it up, trying to avoid the bits of glass. It was a picture of Deeliah and I when we first became friends. Now that picture is on the floor, broken. Like our friendship. Tears rolled down the sides of my face.

What did I even do?

I am a bitch. And this bitch misses her best friend.
