Summer Revenge

Chapter 1

“W-A-K-I-O-N-A! W-A-K-I-O-N-A!” The children chanted as the Camp Wakiona bus came to a screeching halt. 16 year old Allison Von strolled onto the cramped, bus excited for an action-packed summer away from her newly separated, crazy family. As her eyes scanned for a seat, the strong stench of sunscreen made her eyes water and gummy bears from the middle schooler’s secret stashes of candies made her regret not having eaten enough breakfast. She giggled to herself as she reached the end of the bus, wondering if there would be any cute boys she could watch out for. She looked around nervously for a friendly face she could sit next to for the four hour bus ride to Camp Wakiona.

"Hey!" a voice started Aly from her thoughts. “This seat is free.” said a girl with an accent, who had her face buried in her laptop. “Thanks a million! I thought I was going to have to stand for a minute!” Aly replied gratefully. Aly extended her hand. "I am Allison Von, but people just call me Aly" she said. “I’m Georgia Kaben. People call me Georgia Kaben.” the girl replied. She laughed loudly. “Aly. Thanks for letting me sit with you. Where are you from?” Aly asked. “Melbourne.” Georgia mumbled with a lollipop in her mouth. “Mal bear?” Aly questioned, confused. “No! Mel. Born. Like Melanie and being Born! It’s in Australia.” Georgia smiled. “Oh.” Aly replied looking out of the window a bit embarrassed. “I love that movie.” Aly giggled, noticing that Georgia was watching Forrest Gump. “Me too! Life is like a box of chocolates!” Georgia quoted, speaking with a southern drawl. “You never know what you are going to get.” Aly retorted. “I think we are going to be pretty good mates.” Georgia exclaimed excitedly, handing Aly one of her ear buds.

After many hours of laughing, singing and talking with each other, the bus finally arrived to the camp. Georgia and Aly hopped off of the bus together and continued their conversation about 5sos as they waited in the registration line. “A-K ON THIS SIDE! L-Z OVER HERE!” Yelled an old woman withgray hair, attempting to control the masses of campers arriving. “Damn. I’ll see you on the other side kid!” Georgia called as she walked off to the proper table. Aly looked around for a familiar face, but failed, so she proceeded to reread The Fault in Our Stars, for the fourth time that summer. “Egh. Not that bloody book.” a disgusted voice jeered from behind her. “Excuse me? This bloody book was number one on the New York Best Seller List.” Aly snapped, looking up. “That’s ironic because your number one on my list.” The cheeky boy replied, stepping closer. Aly rolled her eyes and turned her back to the brave boy. “I’m Harry Styles, but you probably know me as the boy of your dreams.” He whispered in her ear as he snatched the book out of her hands. “Give that back!” Aly yelled, leaping up to attepmt to steal the book back. “Give me a kiss and your number and I will.” Harry smiled brightly.

Aly looked at his face smugly. "God, why does he have to be so attractive?" she thought. Aly stomped on his foot hard, making him drop the book into a large pile of mud. “Ah!” Harry cried, yelping in pain. “No! You idiot! It’s ruined!” Aly gasped, pulling her possession out of the muck. “It was your fault it happened!” Harry retaliated. “It was your fault that you thought a dumb ass like you could get a girl like me!” Aly shouted drawing attention to the situation. Harry sighed. “I only hit on you cause my friend dared me to. I only date pretty girls.” Aly boiled with anger. “You better watch your back Styles.” Aly replied sharply before running off to her cabin.

"Aly! Aly! slow down, you are faster than forrest! honestly!" Georgia was attempting to unsuccessfully catch up to her bus buddy. "What just happened?" Georgia panted, attepmting to catch her breath.
“Nothing!" Aly replied casually, looking down at the ground. Even though they had just met, Georgia could see a sneaky look in her friends eye that gave her the feeling that Aly was planning something.
Aly looked up, with a devilish grin plastered across her tanned face. "I just made a goal of the summer to get revenge on that asshole, Harry Styles.”
