The Opening Act
First Meeting
Rachel's P.O.V.
"What about this one?" Tiana asked, displaying another outfit to us.
I rolled my eyes, flicking the channels.
"That one looks great" Maya smiled at her in reply.
Blair was sitting in the armchair, with her earphones in, so she didn't even look up.
"Rachel?" Tiana asked me.
I sighed.
"It's lovely Tee. But they've all been lovely. Seriously, you have to stop stressing about this.." I told her, flicking onto 'Unforgettable'.
I hadn't even known a second season of this had started.
Tiana ran a hand through her long fiery hair.
"I know. I'm just so nervous guys.. What if they don't like us? What if they don't like me?" she gushed out.
Again I rolled my eyes.
"Tiana! They're gonna love you. And if they don't, I'll kick their asses" I replied.
That made her smile ever so slightly.
"Okay, okay.. I'll just wear this then" she decided, plopping down on the couch between Maya and I.
We were all at Tiana's place. We would be meeting the boys of 5 Seconds of Summer today. We were all a little nervous but Tiana had taken that to a new level.
In only less than a week we would be heading off on tour as the opening act for the band. It was absolutely crazy to even think about really.
"So Rach - which one's your favourite?" Blair had now taken out her earphones, deciding to start up a conversation.
"My favourite what?" I asked back.
"Boy. In 5 Seconds of Summer" she clarified.
I nodded.
"Ohh, right.. em.. I don't know really. I like them all. Michael's so different and weird. And then Luke's fantastic on the guitar. And Calum is just downright adorable. And Ashton is just so gorgeous and when he plays the drums, I mean wow-" I went off on a big rant about them until I was cut off by Maya.
"Not really an answer Rach" she chuckled.
I shrugged.
"Well who's yours?" I asked back.
She blushed ever so slightly.
"I don't have one.." she lied easily.
Tiana snorted.
"Oh please! Luke's her favourite.." she told me quickly.
I chuckled.
"I can totally see why" I replied honestly.
She blushed deeper.
The next two hours passed by insanely slowly. Eventually it was time for us to get going. The boys wanted the meeting to be pretty casual so we were meeting at Calum's apartment.
Blair drove us there. We didn't talk much during the car ride. We were all pretty nervous at this point. I really could handle people not liking me, but we would be spending the next few months with these boys, so it was very important that we all got along.
When we got to the door of the apartment, Tiana was starting to freak out a little. Her celebrity crush was Calum Hood. And he we were, at his apartment.
"Relax Tee. It's gonna be great" Maya mumbled to her, although I could tell she was nervous too.
I was starting to worry about what I was wearing. Should I have dressed up more?
Before I had a chance to explore that thought the door swung open.
Calum.
"Hello girls, c'mon in. The other boys are all here" he stood back as he spoke, to let us through.
"Thanks" I gave him a wide smile as I walked past.
He walked to the small sitting room, us following behind.
"The boys are all watching television. I'm Calum by the way" He told us.
"We know" Tiana replied softly.
He turned to give her a grin.
As soon as we were in the living room the other three guys hopped up off of the couches.
"Hey.. i'm Luke, this is Ashton, Michael, Calum" Luke introduced, once they were standing in front of us.
Maya began introducing us but I wasn't really paying attention anymore. My eyes had met with Ashtons and I couldn't bring myself to look away.
He really was gorgeous. So much more so in real person.
Ignoring anything else they were saying I smiled at him.
"I'm Rachel" I told him.
I knew I had cut someone off but I didn't care.
He held out his hand for me which I quickly took.
"Ashton" he replied softly, raising my hands to his lips, kissing it softly.
I giggled at that softly.
