You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Connie's POV

It was about 10 a.m. in the morning. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. To be honest, I was still really tired. I dropped Bernice off at her house yesterday at 1:30 a.m. I stayed in my bed for a couple of minutes on my phone. I finally decided to get up and go to the bathroom. I went to brush my teeth, wash my face and shower. After that routine, I went to put on a little makeup. I put on some concealer and eyeliner.

I went back to my room afterwards and opened my closet door. It's always a struggle for me to pick an outfit. This is why I always pick the outfit the night before. After 20 minutes of deciding, I wore a denim pair of shorts, a red flannel around my waist and a black long sleeve crop top.

I walked downstairs quietly as my sister was still sleeping and my parents both left for work. I tried looking for some food to squeeze in some breakfast. However, all I could find was a banana. I sat down on the kitchen table and played with my phone while eating.

I was scrolling through Twitter, when I received a text message from Niall.

From: Niall Horan:

Good morning Connie. You still tired? haha. Do you want to still hang out today before the concert?

I texted back saying:

Good morning Niall! Yes, very tired. And sure! What do you want to do?

I received another text from Niall:

You and Bernice want to stick around for sound check and maybe we could all grab some food afterwards? If so, meet us at the Air Canada Centre at the door where I slammed it on your face. HAHA!

I texted back saying:

Haha, very funny. Sure! We'll be there in an hour.

I called Bernice and no surprised, she picked up. She was a morning person.

"Hey Connie!" Bernice said.

"Hey Bernice, the boys asked us if we wanted to hang out again? You want to?" Before Bernice could reply, I interrupted and said, 'Wait, before you say anything, I know it's a yes, so I'll be over in 10 minutes." I said.

Bernice laughed. "Pfft, you know me too well! And fine by me!" Bernice said.

I hung up the phone on Bernice and went to grab my things. I went to the driveway and drove my car to Bernice's house.

When I got to Bernice's house, she was already outside and ready. She waved and hopped in the passenger seat. I decided to drive to Downtown today as if taking the train was difficult enough.

Half an hour passed and we already arrived at the Air Canada Centre. We found a parking place near the stadium and walked around to see where they would be. We walked to the door they told us to go through.

"Bernice, Niall said to go through the door-" The door slammed on my face again.

Bernice started laughing. That was not funny. Then I also heard Niall laugh.

"Really? Again? Am I just really unlucky?" I said.

"Probably" Niall laughed. "Here let me help you up! Are you alright?" Niall said.

"Yeah, this time I am." I laughed.

"Come on in guys, and you guys need to wear this." Niall handed us backstage passes that we had to wear around our neck. "Some fans were also hear too because they purchased the V.I.P. package and they get to see our sound check!" Niall said. "Let's go to our dressing room first!"

We walked to the boys' dressing room and every one was there. Every one waved to us and Eleanor gave us a hug. Harry's eye immediately lit when he saw Bernice and went over to talk to her. I, on the other hand, went to sit on a couch.

We hung out in the dressing room for a bit. It felt a bit awkward because Niall was talking to Zayn and I wasn't talking to anybody. Then, Liam walks over and sits on the couch next to me.

"So, you and Niall?" Liam winked.

"Me and Niall? No, no, not in that way. He's a good guy and we're just friends, I guess." I said.

"I think Niall likes you, I can tell. That time he gave you his slice of pizza was already a big hint. He never shares food. Also, the way he looks at you." Liam said.

"Hmm, I don't know, I'll be surprised if he'll like someone like me." I said.

"And why is that surprising?" Liam said.

I quickly changed the subject. "So, how are you and Sophia?" I said.

"Oh, things are going really well. I miss her every day since we've been on tour, but I'm happy she's flying to Toronto to visit tonight!" Liam said.

"That's great! I would really like to meet her!" I said

"She'll love to meet you too!" Liam said.

All of a sudden, someone knocks at the door and it was Paul, their security guard.

"Alright guys, it's time for sound check! The fans are waiting." He said.

All of us got up from our seats and walked out the door. Niall told me that we could find seats in the stadium to sit and watch them perform. Bernice and I made our way to a couple of seats. The fans were all crowded near the front, but Bernice and I sat a little bit further back from them.

The boys came out and instantly, the fans started screaming. They sang a couple of songs and the last song they sang was One Thing. I really loved that song from their first album! It was actually one of my favourite.

It was near the end of the song and all of them started to sing the chorus.

The whole time while singing the chorus, Niall was looking at me. When he sang, "Yeah, you've got that one thing" he pointed towards me and winked.

I instantly started blushing and looked down while smiling. I don't know, could I really be having feelings for him? No, because my feelings towards Evan is way more.

After the sound check ended, they took a bow and said, "Thank you everyone! See you at the concert tonight!" All of them left the stage. Bernice and I went back stage to their dressing room. I saw them and said, "You guys were all great!"

They all smiled.

"Come on, let's go grab something to eat!" Zayn said.

Niall walked towards me and said, "Is it alright if we go eat somewhere else?"

Niall looked at me and I said, "Sure!"

Niall went back to the others to tell them that we were going to go have lunch together. We walked out of the dressing room.

"So, where do you want to go to eat?" Niall said.

"Can we have Italian food?" I said in kid voice.

Niall laughed and said, "Come on!"

"Wait, don't you need some security just in case some fan girls try to jump you?" I laughed.

Niall laughed and said, "Well I don't like the idea of having security, so we should leave now to get away with it." Niall held out his hand. I was pretty shocked. That means I grab his hand, right? Right. I smiled and grabbed his hand and we ran out of the Air Canada Centre.

We both made it out the exit and I realized we were still holding hands. I felt a bit awkward, so I let go.

"Oh sorry, I did not realize we were still-" Niall said.

I laughed. "It's okay."

We walked a couple streets down and finally found a place to eat Italian food. Niall was trying to keep himself low key with sunglasses and a hat on, which surprisingly worked. We got to a restaurant and the waitress in the front escorted us to our seats. We looked at menu and both of us ordered Chicken Breast Parmesan. The waitress came back with out food within 10 minutes and both of us started eating immediately. We were eating and talking at the same time. It was honestly a great laugh and we got to know each other better.

Niall was telling me more funny stories when he suddenly looked down on my left arm and sees scars on my wrist. He asked, "Hey, why do you have scars on your wrist?"

I quickly pulled my hand away and looked at him for a while. I was starting to tear up and all of a sudden, I ran out the door.
