You and I (Niall Horan Fanfiction)

Connie's POV

Fast forward a couple months later, it was almost winter break which means it's almost Christmas! Christmas just has this warm and cozy feeling to it. Plus, this year, I was going to visit Niall for a week! We decided that we were going to spend Christmas with our own families and I'll fly out afterwards to Ireland.

I was doing a lot of Christmas shopping before all of this was decided. I got a gift for my family, friends and I had to get one for Niall. Although, I'm not sure what he would like. I looked around a couple stores, but nothing really came to mind. I was walking around different stores when I came across this store selling personalized Christmas sweaters! I could get Niall one and one for myself! Call me cheesy, but I like when couples have matching sweaters.

I walked into the store and the person working in the store greeted me. I think the uglier the Christmas sweater, the cuter it looks. When I see Niall, I know it won't be Christmas, but he said we were going to pretend it was Christmas and celebrate it together! I looked around and saw this red sweater with a rain deers, snowflakes and a snowman. It looked very festive, so I decided to get that for Niall and I.

-Christmas Day-

Today was Christmas and I was getting ready to go to my grandparents' house to visit them. Every year, we have a family gathering and everyone comes. To be honest, I always just looked forward to the food such as turkey and mash potatoes. I got up and got ready. I wore a red dress to look more festive and black flats.

My family and I got into the car to go to my grandparents. All of a sudden, I get a text message from Niall:

Merry Christmas Connie! I'm so grateful to have someone as special as you in my life. I love you :) I missed you so much and I can't believe you're flying out in a couple of days to see my beautiful face ;) Mom's starting to make Christmas dinner for us, I'm so excited.

To Niall:

MERRY CHRISTMAS NIALL! I love you so much and I'm so blessed God has put us together. I can't believe I'm going to see you in a couple of days too, but your face isn't that beautiful ;)! Omg Maura's cooking was so good last time, send me some pictures! I can't wait for dinner too tbh.

Niall and I kept texting back and forth the whole car ride.

When we got there, I told Niall that I would talk to him soon. The whole day was family day because family is really important in my life.

I caught up with a lot of my relatives and cousins, and ate so much food! We opened presents and it was just a great time.

It was getting late and we had to head home. It was great seeing family, but I wanted to get some rest because tomorrow, I was going to go to catch a plane to Ireland tomorrow.

When I got home, I got ready for bed and basically crashed onto my bed.
