Liam’s POV
I had tossed and turned for hours, trying to fall back asleep after the strangest dream about a girl. It didn’t seem like sleep was coming, so I decided to run and clear my head. After I had gone about 3 miles, I went back in the other direction and stopped by a cluster of trees. As I turned to go back to the complex, I heard a muffled cry. Beneath a tree, I found a girl, who had to be about 18. She was crying in her sleep, wearing a bloody nightgown, like some sort of runaway. I picked her up and carried her and her bag into my flat. She was very pretty, she looked like my sister, kind of. She stirred, then opened her eyes. “Oh my gosh! Um, hi Liam.” “Haha, I guess you’re a fan.” I said, smiling. “Yeah, I am. I’m Samantha, but you can call me Sam. And um, why am I here?” “I found you under a tree and thought you might need a place to stay.” She smiled and nodded. “Ok, the bathroom is down the hall, if you want to do anything before we talk.” I said. Her smile faded, “Talk about what?” She asked. “Everything.” I answered before she entered the bathroom.

Sam’s POV
Great, Liam Payne wanted to know everything, which should be an interesting conversation. I showered, trying not to wince when I moved, like everything. I changed clothes and walked back out. “Thank you for letting me stay here.” I said, sitting down. “Of course, you looked like you needed a friend.” “I’ve never had one, so that would be nice.” I said. He looked at me, “Never ever?” I laughed and shook my head. “My dad had convinced me that I wasn’t strong enough to do anything and kept me locked up in my room.” “And he obviously hurt you, no offense. I can tell just by looking at you.” I knew what he meant; I was covered in bruises and scars. “Well, he didn’t leave all these scars.” I said, looking down with tear-filled eyes. He looked at me, tears filling his own eyes. “I’m sorry.” Was all he said before pulling me into a hug. I had never felt so safe. Just then, his door burst open.
