Being Hurt Pt. 1
Darren’s POV
When I woke up, and Sam wasn’t there, I panicked. I ran out and Liam pointed me to Niall’s room, saying she had gone to check on him. I opened the door to find him, wrapping his arms around her waist and he kissed her. She didn’t flinch back, so I cleared my throat. “Darren… I..” “No, save it. I knew you would choose him over me. It’s fine.” I ran out of the room. “Darren, damn it! Stop and listen.” I turned, “Listen to what, your nice rehearsed story. Save it, Sam. I’m used to it.” She grabbed my hand, “Darren, he was upset and I… I just couldn’t stand it. I had to help him. And now you’re hurt, which makes it all worse.” She broke off and tears were streaming down her face. All of my anger vanished and I pulled her in. “Sam, Sam, it’s ok. Shh, you’re ok.” I lifted her face. “You just need to decide who you want to be with, there’s no pressure. I just don’t want you to get hurt, by anyone, even me.” She smiled and touched my cheek.” “Darren Criss, you are the sweetest guy I’ve ever met.” I smiled and walked her back so she could see Niall. “Darren, I want to see you and Niall in the living room in 5 minutes, please.” I nodded and told Niall. We both sat on the couch and Sam came out and faced us.
