Something Stronger Than Love

ZAYN'S POV

I woke up on sand, with Toni next to me. Am I dead? What the fuck happened?

I slowly turned my neck down in the direction of the girl, and she jumped with excitement.

"He's awake!" She yelled, helping me stand.

Everyone rushed toward me, and by everyone, I mean Alexis, Violet, Paige, Melissa, Jenna, Kyle, Michael, Liam, Louis, Niall, and Harry. They were all flailing their arms, screaming about how close that jump was.

"What the fuck happened?"

"We got chased by a shark, you jumped from one boat to the other, and now, we're back on the island." Harry explained.

"Really?" I looked around, I saw the plane, and the sand, and the jungle. "Yep, we're back on the island."

We were all sitting around, discussing what to do. The choices were, stay on this motherfucking island for awhile, waiting for the shark to no longer be surfacing around us, or just go and ATTEMPT to outrun the shark.

"We can't leave. I'd rather stay here and relive memories for a while, and NOT get eaten by a shark." Alexis said.

"But if we stay, chances are, we'll starve, or be stuck here longer than before." Michael pointed out.

"We were on this island for how long? We didn't starve, there's food all over this island. And last time, we built a shelter, and we were practically set." I had to say it, no one else did.

And it shut Michael right up.

"Plus, we have boats now, so we don't have to buold rafts and get separated, and go over a waterfall that creates a coma." Paige attempted a small joke.

No one commented.

"Alright. Paige, Alexis, Violet, Jenna, Gemma, Melissa, all you, go search for food. The rest of us will explore the other side." Louis took charge.

Wow, that felt weird when Louis was in charge instead of me.

But I let it slide, and walked up to my group, and we split up.

The boys and I (and Toni) explored the right half of the island; the half we were on the whole time three years ago. We passed the pond, the shelter, even the original place with the first fire.

Then we got to the plane. It's even more disgusting than I imagine. Blood, gore, torn skin. But good things too, clothing, blankets.

We collected everything we could, stacking it in our arms. We made our way to the shelter, stacking the blankets, then throwing the clothing in a corner.

Shortly after, the girls arrived with a ton of berries, bananas, and wood. They set it on the old food shelf, then setting the planks on the floor outside.

Perrie, El, Jenna, Kyle, Dani, and Michael neverhad to spend a day on this island. Lucky them. But lucky us, we're used to it. Used to waking up and swimming, sitting around a fire, seeing each other all the time. It was peaceful here.

"So, what do we do?" Perrie asked.

I shrugged, "Have fun. Swim, explore, sleep, sing."

"Usually a lot of singing. " Liam laughed slightly. It was true. That happened like every night.

Eleanor looked extremely nervous, as if she was scared to be near any of us, but we all knew her, so I don't understand why...

"Eleanor? What's wrong?" I asked, discreetly, so no one would hear.

She shook her head, "Nothing. Just scared. Nervous."

Just as I suspected.

"Then let's swim, bitches!" Louis yelled at the top of his lungs.

We arrived at the little pond/lake thing, and we all changed into bathing suits. All of us boys had a normal black bathing suit, but the girls all had different bathing suits.

Toni being Toni, she jumped into the water first, splashing us all with cold water. She taunted us, "Let's go, turtles."

Harry automatically jumped into the water, followed by Alexis, Paige, Violet, and Melissa. Then Liam, Louis, and and Niall. Then Mike gave in, and Kyle, Jenna, Gemma, and Perrie. Finally, Eleanor jumped in, with Danielle, leaving just me standing there.

"Zayny boo boo bear? You coming?" Toni raised an eyebrow, splashing water up onto my feet.

I shrugged, jumping into the ice cold water. I reached the surface, shivering when air hit my wet skin.

"That's more like it." She smirked.

There was awkward silence, until Harry closed his eyes and yelled as loud as he possibly could, "Marco!!!"

"Marco!" I yelled, listening for movement.

"Polo!" Multiple voices sounded all around me, but one in particular made a big appearance. Perrie.

I headed a little to the right, toward her voice. "Marco!"

"Polo!" I turned to the right even more, and headed that way.

"Marco!"

"Polo!"

I felt my hand touch something, so I opened my eyes. My hand was on Perrie's breast.

I quickly removed it, and everyone busted out laughing.

Perrie closed her eyes, went underwater, then popped out and yelled, "Marco!"

We sat around the fire, our hair still wet, but in normal clothing now. We all had blankets, except Paige and Mike shared, Violet and Liam shared, and Toni shared with Kyle. I don't know why, but seeing that made me a little upset.

Did Toni feel the same? Did she have feelings for Kyle? Or Harry? Or Louis? Even Niall? Were my feelings toward her only one way?

I saw Perrie shiver. We exchanged a glance, and I signalled for her to sit with me. She snuggled into my arms, and I could rell she was warmer now.

I looked up to the fire, but in the corner of my eye, I saw Toni look at me. I didn't want to look back, it would be awkward.

"Anyone wanna start a song for the first night?" Niall asked, looking around.

"How about Every Storm?" Melissa asked, remembering the only night she was here with us.

Toni shook her head, "That song will make me cry."

That song brought up all the memories. When she wanted to kill herself and I refused to let her. And the lyrics are about not giving up.

"Love Song by Sara Berreilles?" Alexis asked.

We all shrugged, until Jenna started singing.

"Head underwater
And they tell me
To breathe easy for awhile."

Alexis then sang the next few lines.

"The breathing gets harder
Even I know that."

Violet picked up the next part.

"Made room for me
But it's too soon to see
If I'm happy in your hands."

Paige sang the next lines.

"I'm unusually
Hard to hold onto."

Toni picked up the idea.

"Blank stares at blank pages
No easy way to say this

All of the girls, including Melissa and Gemma, sang the chorus.

All of us guys stared in amazement. This felt just like three years ago, except there are new people, and Toni and Harry are different.

Before I get off this island, I'm gonna find out what's going on. That's my goal.
