Something Stronger Than Love

ZAYN'S POV

I looked over and watched as my old friend flew down the stairs, then smashed her head on the last one.

"Toni!" Harry screamed from beside me. Everyone got up and ran toward her, screaming random stuff, like 'how did this happen?' and 'Is she okay?'. I yelled something that made sense.
"SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!"

I saw Louis pick up the house phone, disling numbers, then talking. I turned back to the scene in front of me.

How did she fall? I looked around, up and down the stairs, until it hit me. Flynn was standing at the top of the staircase, attempting to hide guilt.

"Flynn! You fucker!" I jumped over Toni's body and ran up the stairs to Flynn. His eyes got wide and he started backing up, scared of what I'm capable of.

"Listen, dude, no need to get violent." He said, putting his hands up in defense.

"No, you listen, dude. My closest friend was gone after a girl ruined our relationship. I finally found her when we were on that island, and she disappeared again. I just got her back, and you fucking possibly ruined it for me. You're gonna pay for it!" I pulled his arm and dragged him down the stairs, outside, onto the porch.

"Hey, easy man!" I turned around and saw Michael running behind me.

Louis and Harry were behind me, holding Toni, then they set her on the porch swing, with her feet elevated. Her sleeve slid up, revealin g cuts and scars.

"What the fuck is that?!" Niall asked.

I looked at Michael, and he walked up to me, pulled me back, and picked Flynn off the floor.

"You did this! How long have you been hurting her?!" He yelled in Flynn' s face. Flynn didn't answer, so Michael punched him. "How long?!"

"Since the week we found them." He shamed himself.

Michael threw him to the ground and kicked him in the stomach, stomped on his leg, then spat on his chest and rubbed it in, "You make me sick!"

I turned and looked at everyone. Liam was crying, as was Violet, Paige, Niall, Louis, Alexis, Michael, and Flynn. I looked at Harry. He wasn't crying, I couldn't tell what he felt.

The ambulance pulled up ti the farm, and a police car behind it. The ambulance service people got out a stretcher, and picked her up, then put her on it and into the ambulance. A police officer walked up to me.

"Can someone explain what happened?"

I nodded, "This man pushed her down the stairs, and he's been abusing her for years now, and none of us knew. We just reunited with her, and she never spoke a word about it."

"Sir, is this true?" Flynn nodded. The police officer sighed. "Come with me."

Flynn got up and followed the police officer to the car, hands behind his back, and handcuffs on his wrists. Ha bitch!

"Only one person can ride in the back with her. We need to leave now, so decide." A driver from the ambulance asked.

Paige rose her hand at the same time as Michael. They looked at each other, then Paige gave up and let Michael go.

The rest of us got in cars, including Kyle and Jenna, and headed behind the ambulance.

MIKEY'S POV (A/N: I'm gonna put his name as Mikey when I use his POV cuz I feel like it :])

I'm so fucking mad at myself for this. My best friend best up my other best friend for years, and I didn't even know. How could I be so stupid? She walked in the house with injuries at least once a day, rode her horse to the same spot everyday, and she lied to cover Flynn everyday. Now I understand why she was always so nervous around him.

I was crying hard as the ambulance pulled up to the front doors of the hospital. The two guys opened the doors and pulled her out, rolling her into the lobby. They started screaming things I didn't understand, and told me to wait in the waiting room on the 3rd floor.

I slumped down in a seat, the group shortly arriving after. Zayn looked frantic, I don't know how bad it must suck for him, I assume that Toni was his best friend. They seemed close.

"Zayn, come talk to me, your the only one who understands how bad this sucks." He raised an eyebrow, looking over at Harry. "What, weren't you her best friend?"

"Harry was sooo much closer than me. They were friends since kindergarten. But when Toni broke up with me, we all split up. Except for Toni and Melissa. They still lived together. And all us guys were still together. But when the plane crashed, we found each other, Melissa died, she started dating Lou, and Harry and Toni were closer than ever." Zayn explained.

I'm now beyond confused, "Who the fuck is Melissa?"

"She never told you? Melissa was her best friend since 11th grade. They lived together. Once, Melissa kissed me and Toni caught us, and Toni dumped me, classic TV show situation where Melissa kissed me and Toni was there the second it happened. But on the island, Toni found out the truth, and Melissa killed herself."

Dafuq?

The situation was inturupted when a doctor walked out, "Ms. June is stable to a certain extent. She's in a coma. Nothing more than a few days to a year. If it's any longer than that, it could be a lot worse than what we've seen."

"What triggered the coma?" Liam used big boy words.

"We have two possible explanations. Either a piece of glass that was broken and never removed," Paige looked upset, remembering something.

"Or something we found. She has a part of her brain that contains something we've only seen on one other person. It allows her to do extraordinary things that we can't figure out. Well, that part of the brain was turned off a few years ago, and when she fell, it turned it back on. I'll put it into simple terms."

He took a deep breath.

"She's special, and the special part turned off for years. Now that she turned it back on, it's shocking the rest of the brain. I don't mean shocked like electricity, but the brain wasn't expecting that, so it will take a few days for the brain to get ready, then her brain functions like it did before she bumped it the first time."

"What the heck do you mean?" Louis asked.

"It means she can do something we can't when she wakes up. And only one other person in the world can do it. We don't know who, but someone."

Louis nodded, now understanding.

Harry's face read that he was joyed, but scared at the same time.

"She's ready to be visited. She can hear you, but she can't speak. Anything you say could possibly enter her coma dream. Only three at a time." The doctor spoke.

The first two people were Paige, Violet, and Alexis.

ALEXIS'S POV (A/N: Lol Plot twist!)

Paige, Violet, and I walked into Toni's room. She was completely unconscious. Which makes me rethink all that hate toward her.

"What do we do?" Violet was all awkward. I shrugged.

"Well, what song are we singing for live show #1?" I asked.

"Superbass by Nicki Minaj. Let's sing it to her." Paige said.

We started singing the song, all of us singing unplanned parts, but my mind wandered.

I just hope she dreams of us all singing together or something, it would be nice.

ZAYN'S POV (again)

While the girls were in the room, I watched the faces of the guys and Jenna. Louis looked sad, as did Liam, Mikey, and Niall. But Mikey looked mad at himself, while Harry looked excited about something. Well that's not right. Who looks happy when a friend's in a coma?

But my emotions were fucked up too. I still loved her so much. But she wouldn't date me, she's in love with Lou. Or was anyway.

"Guys, what do we do when she recovers?" Liam asked.

"Gifts and shit. That's what we do. And she needs a bit of pampering." Niall said.

We all nodded.

"Harry, why are you smiling like a retard?" I asked. He shook his head, obviously not ready to tell us why.

TONI'S POV (A/N: Maybe the last for a few chapters.)

After I blacked out, I saw nothing but darkness.

But after seconds. A dream began. I saw us four girls, on The X-Factor stage, singing a song. I could even hear their voices.

Is that weird? What the fuck happened? Where's Harry?
