Looking For Trouble

Chapter 2

My breath quicken as I looked around, shyly walking towards the school. The teenagers were loud, one group yelling, another one smoking, and I saw some of them fighting in the corner. My eyes fell on the nerds, then on bullies in leather jackets, my stomach tightening in nervousness.
And then, my eyes looked at the dangerous group of four boys, and all of them looked at me. The one with black hair and dark skin had lots of colorful tattoos on his arms, but my attention caught a boy with a blond quiff on his hair, his eyes shining evilly and a cigarette pressed between his red lips.
I practically ran in the school, heading straight to the office where a short woman greeted me behind the table.
"H-Hello, I'm Loraleigh Angela Stevens, I'm new here and-"
"Oh Loraleigh, welcome! Here, this is your schedule and the list of the books you need for this year. Well, it's the last one," she explained and handed me the papers, looking behind me. "Erin, thank you very much for coming. This is Loraleigh, and please give her a tour."
Erin was brown haired with cute cheeks and warm, brown eyes. She got the smile that only happy children had, like her life was made of happiness.
"Hi Loraleigh, I'm Erin. Nice to meet you ," she grinned and shook my hand with her small one.
"Nice to meet you too," I spoke quietly and shyly as always, scared to even look at Erin's cheerful eyes. “Call me Angel.”
“Angel. Okay.”
We walked down the hall to my locker, Erin explaining everything about the school.
"Okay, your first class is on the next floor, number twenty six. I'll see you at the lunch table, okay?" Erin smiled warmly at me, eyes glittering from happiness and excitement.
"Thank you very much, and see ya," I smiled shyly and watched Erin graciously run away to her locker.
With a heavy huff, I tried to open the locker but failed, palm slamming against the cold metal.
"Here, Muhammad Ali, let me." A male's voice spoke from behind and slammed his hand against the locker which opened immediately.
I watched in awe and sighed in relief, looking at the boy who just saved me from being late on my first class.
He was tall, but not too much, just a little bit taller from her, with really short hair and blue eyes with a perfect smile.
"I'm Mike. You're Angela, right?"
"Um, yes, how do you know?"
"Everyone knows. You're the new, quiet and shy one, right? Every boy in here calls you Angel, you know, Angela- Angel," he explained, grinning nervously and scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh, I didn't know... but my name is actually Loraleigh Angela Stevens"
"But I prefer Angel" he replied.”It’s easier to remember.”
The last thing I wanted was to be the center of everything; I didn't want to get attention because I wasn't that kind of girl. You know I was quiet and shy, always stuttering at my words because of everything what happened to me.
"Well yeah...um, we have the same class now, so you wanna go with me?"
I nodded and walked silently next to Mike, eyes focused on the floor under my feet. Finally, we arrived and walked in the classroom, taking a free seat in the back.
Just as we started to talk, silence echoed across the room, and both of us looked up to find two boys walking in, angry eyes are scanning for a free seat.
One of them was blonde haired and blue eyed, and another one was tall and- Oh, it was the boy outside the school I thought was attractive but evil.
His brown eyes blazed with anger as he scanned the silent room, eyes stopping on me. My breath hitched in my throat as he clenched his jaw and frowned even harder, walking towards them. The blonde one sat down on the empty place and lifted his feet on the table.
"Move," His voice was low and rough, eyes looking at Mike who just sighed and muttered 'I'm sorry' to me.
Sorry for what?
The guy sat down next to me, the smell of cologne and cigarettes filling the air around me. I saw lots of tattoos decorating his arms, his eyes looking at me all the time.
Right then, I felt really uncomfortable and scared, body shifting away from the guy next to me just when the teacher came in, forgetting to introduce me to the class and I was thankful for that.
"Well hello, Angela Johnson," he spoke darkly, his eyes never leaving mine.
I tried my best to speak, but when I did it couldn't even come out like a quiet and shy 'Hi' I always managed to say. How the hell he knew my last name?
I looked down at my lap, but then felt his lips close to my ear. Breath hot on my cold flesh, the goose bumps on my skin rose to attention.
"Do you believe in devils or angels?" His voice was low and dark, frightening me.

I just shrugged, not finding any strength to speak.
"You should definitely start to believe in devils. Because one of them is sitting right next to you, Angel," he whispered, lightly brushed his soft lips across my earlobe, barely touching the delicate skin.
I almost started to sob right there, but instead of that I closed my eyes tightly and let out a sigh of relief when he moved away with his eyes still on me.
A lot of time passed between my last prayers to God, but I started to pray again to myself, praying for safety.
If I only knew what was coming.
