Something Great

Lucy's POV
i headed off to first period with Grace. We sat near each other but today my partner wasnt here so she sat next to me. "What happened yesterday?" Asked Grace.
"Well after school yesterday, Zayn came over and tried o apologize. I wouldn't let him and then he...." I said.
"And then he what?" Grace asked suspiciously.
"And then he kissed me!" I exclained.
"OMG Lucy! Then what happened?!" She asked.
"Well, he left..." I said sadly.
"Why would he leave you after that?"
"I have no idea, Grace. And then I tried talking to him this morning and he ignored me!" I said.
"Why?" Grace asked.
"I have no idea Grace." I said. For the rest if the class we didn't speak much because we had to study. The bell rang and Grace and I walked over to second period. We did our work and waited for third period. I was nervous because Zayn was in that class with me. The bell rang. I didn't know if I should go to class so I went to the bathroom for a couple minutes. When I went to class I was late. Nobody was staring when I came in but the teacher made such a big deal that everybody looked. As I took my seat next to Niall I saw Zayn staring at me. I guess he realized I was looking back because he immediately looked away. "Where were you?" Asked Niall.
"I went to the restroom" I said.
"Oh," he said. I started thinking about what I would do later and decided to invite Niall over to my house. "Do you want to come over later and maybe get some ice cream or hang out at my house?" I suggested.
"Yeah that would be great!" He said. "Awesome" I said. For the rest of the period we started talking about how we met. "Remember when we first met?" Asked Niall.
"Yup. In fifth grade i teipped right in front if you." I said, remembering that embarrassing moment. "Yeah and then I helped you up and we were inseperable after that." He said.
"Until I transferred schools for that other semester" I said.
"Yeah... I missed you a lot during that time." Said Niall. "So did I" I said.
I had really missed him at the time I moved. He was my only friend and we were incredibly close. I moved in seventh grade because of my parents divorce for the last semester. When I came back in the beginning of eighth grade I had no friends and my mom was never home because of her job.
I got really depressed. Steven was out with his friends to get his mind off of the divorce. I hadn't been eating correctly and had been cutting. Until one day when Steven and Niall were at my house and heard me sobbing from the hall. My door had no lock but the bathroom door did. I had locked myself in there and was cutting my wrists when Steven opened the door followed by Niall and they got the razor away from me. Ever since then they've helped me with all my problems. I haven't done any of that for a couple of years now.
The bell rang to get to our next period. I painted a picture for the whole period and then I went to lunch. I walked over to Grace in the hallway and walked over to the cafeteria. This time I was much more careful. We got our lunch and sat at our usual table which was in the back. "Lucy want to hang out later?" Asked Grace.
"Oh how about tomorrow? I'm going to hang out with Niall" I said.
"Oh okay. It's just that I have something really urgent to tell you"
"why don't you just tell me now?"
"Okay fine Lucy..... I'm moving to New York..." She said quietly.
"What? When?" I said starting to get ready eyed.
"Next weekend" she said.
"Then we have to hand out before you move" I said. How can this be happening? My bestest friend is moving! I won't have anybody to be with anymore. I started crying and so did Grace. "But we'll always keep in contact okay?" She said.
"Yup. We always will" I said hugging her. We ate the rest of our lunch and headed to our lockers because the bell was about to ring to get to our next class. The bell rang and we headed to our classes. I changed into a similar outfit I had on yesterday. I got out of the locker room and started some stretches.
I saw Zayn alone doing his stretches so I decided to join him. "Hey Zayn" I said. He didn't say anything back. He just ignored me. "Zayn we need to talk about yesterday."
"Lucy, there's nothing to talk about"
"Yes there is. What did that kiss mean?"
"Lucy I prefer we talk about this somewhere else. Somewhere more private. Lets talk later yeah?" He asked.
"I was actually going to hang out with Niall later..." I said.
"Oh. Well how about some other time? I could go to you house?" He asked.
"Yeah. What about Friday?" I say. Today was Wednesday.
"Yeah that's fine" he said. Then we jogged for the rest if the period. I changed back to my clothes when the class was over and headed outside with Zayn. We were walking for a little until Niall caught up. "Hey guys" said Niall. "Hi" I said.
"Okay I'll leave you guys alone." Said Zayn. "Ok bye" Niall and I said. We got into Niall's car and headed over to my house.
