Something Great

Lucy's POV
First and second period were boring. They seemed like they lasted for hours. I had math and history with Grace but at third period we split apart. I had literature for third period. I was looking forward to that class because Zayn had that class with me. I have to admit that i kind of liked him. But i knew i would never have a chance with him. I mean i was just so ordinary and he.... Well he has all of the girls after him, i thought.
I was a little shocked when i heard the bell ring because i was busy day dreaming. I guess Grace noticed because she said "Are you alright?".
"Yeah" i said. " Can you send me the homework that we have later. i wasnt paying attention."
"I could tell you weren't. And yeah i'll tell you what it is. Bye Lucy, see you at lunch" Grace said.
"Bye" i said.
I headed off to literature. I walked across the class to get to my seat. I sat next to my friend Niall. "Hey" he said as he sat.
"Hi! Hows it going?" i asked.
"Great. How 'bout you?" He said.
I was about to respond when Zayn came in the room. He sat behind me and Niall so I got cut off by Zayn. "Sup bro." said Zayn.
"Hey Zayn" said Niall.
"We're gonna head off to Steven's house later. Do you want to come?" Zayn asked.
"Yeah pick me up" Niall responded. Zayn left to sit down. "Iguess i'm going over to your house later."
"Yeah but you wont be my guest. You'll be Steven's." i said.
With that Niall didnt say anything else. i was a little excited that Zayn was going over to my house later. If only he would notice me. I started paying attention because we had a test coming up soon and i was flunking the class. "What is a poem with 4 lines called?" asked Ms.J. My hand shot up immediatly. I dont really like poems but i remember learning this a long time ago. "Yes Lucy."
"Its called a quartet." i said.
"Thats correct" she said.
For the rest of the period we read different types of poems. They were kind of interesting but i was really bored. I looked at the clock. 5 more minutes till forth period. I started to put my stuff away. I waited and waited. Finally the bell rang. I headed off to art. It was the shortest period. 20 minutes of class. i sat there at class and did nothing considering the teacher was asleep. i was on my phone browsing Instagram when the bell rang. I headed out and waited for Grace at our lockers. i spotted her and ran over to her. "hey Grace".
"Hi Lucy. What do you want to eat?" she asked.
"I'm craving some chicken nuggets..." i said.
"Exactly what i want." she said.
We headed off to the cafeteria. When we entered i was busy putting my phone in my bag that i wasn't looking where i was going. "Lucy Watch out!" Grace yelled. As soon as she said that I crashed into someone. I had ice cold water run down my shirt. Food was all over me. I looked up and saw Zayn. "I'm so sorry Zayn." i said.
"Next time watch where you're going you idiot!" he shouted. I couldnt belive that he had called me idiot. i looked next to him and saw Steven standing next to him. I stared at him, waiting for him to do something to Zayn. He did nothing. I felt my eyes getting watery. "Yeah Steven, thanks for standing up for me" i said starting to cry. i looked over at Zayn before i ran off and saw that he had a look on his face. Not a proud face, but a sad face.... almost like he was sorry. I ran to the bathroom because i couldnt believe that Zayn had said that to me and that Steven didnt do anything. He didnt stand up for me, even after what he said to me this morning.... that he would do anything for me. I started cleaning myself off because the bell was about to ring to get to my next class. Excellent!! i had that class with Zayn to. It was p.e. I headed off to the locker room at the gym to get changed. i got dressed in this ( http://www.polyvore.com/pe_outfit/set?id=126191439 ). i headed out of the locker room and started my stretches. i didnt have any friends in that class so i was usually alone. i started to run when Zayn cought up to me. "Lucy im so sor-" he began.
"Save it for someone who wants to hear it" i said. i didnt understand why he would say that and then apologize. thank goodness this was my last class. then i could head home. Oh great! Zayn was going to be there. i dont feel like seeing him there. for the rest of the period i ran and then i changed back to the clothes i had and headed out to the parking lot and started to walk home. i got home and took a shower. i got dressed in this ( http://www.polyvore.com/lucys_outfit/set?id=126192752 ). i headed downstairs and saw the guys there. i went to the kitchen to get a quick snack. i heard Zayn say "I'm going to the bathroom". the bathroom was upstairs. i headed back upstairs to my room whe somebody grabbed my arm. i looked back and saw Zayn. "Please let me go Zayn" i said.
"Lucy please listen to me" he began.
"No." i said and got out of his grasp and started walking away. He grabbed me again but the time he pinned me against the wall. "Please Lucy. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. i didnt mean anything i said. I-" he was saying before i cut him off.
"How can i forgive you if you said tho-" i got cut off. i didnt believe what was happening. he had put his soft lips on mine. Him, Zayn, THE Zayn Malik is kissing me. how could this be if he could never like me?
