Pure Luck
Chapter 9.
Niall's P.O.V
I got up in the morning, trying to focus on what I was doing. I just couldn't take my mind off her. We had always been close, how did it get to the kiss? It still didn't make sense to me.
I picked up my phone but to my disappointment there were no missed calls or messages from Jess. But there was a message from Liam.
'Check the news...'
Confused I went on the internet. My eyes opened wide, "shit, shit, shit!" There, on the website, was a large picture which was unmistakably of me and Jess, supporting the title 'Horan's New Girl'.
I read through the article, it was talking about the kiss, my rumoured relationships and other rubbish like that. I had two phone calls to make, first one was Liam.
"Hey Niall, did you get my message?" He said when he answered the phone. "Yeah, thanks.." I paused, "have you spoken to Jess?" I knew it was a stupid question but I had to ask. Liam went silent, "you there?" I asked. "Yeah, she called Danielle last night, she told her about what happened"
My heart skipped a beat. Jess had called Danielle? That must be a good sign. Liam spoke again, "have you called her? I think she's desperate to speak to you." I shook my head, "no I haven't but I'm about to now."
"Good luck with that mate"
I felt nervous, "Thanks Liam, I'll talk to you later."
I hung up and dialled in Jess's number . I waited and waited until I reached a message tone. "Um hey Jess, call me later, we need to talk."
Jess's P.O.V
I'd called Kimi and asked if she wanted to go out for breakfast. That was when I told her.
"You what?!" Kimi squealed excitedly. "Kissed him and there was an article on it this morning, like I've told you 4 times already." My phone rang but I just left it. Kimi leant over the table, "what was it like?" I smiled, leave it to Kimi to have to typical teenage girl reaction. "Amazing."
I got home at about midday and that was when I checked my phone. It was Niall that had called. I took a deep breath and listened to the message he'd left. "Um hey Jess, call me later, we need to talk."
I went out and got back in the car before driving to Niall's apartment. I knocked on the door but he didn't answer it. I could hear him playing the guitar inside so I entered.
"And you'll never love yourself, as much as I love you. And you'll never treat yourself, right darling, but I don't want you to. If I let you know, I'm here for you. Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you, oh."
I stopped in my tracks. He was just so.. perfect. Suddenly he noticed me behind him, and got up taking me in his arms, "Jess, I'm glad your here!"
I hugged him back, "I'm sor-" he interrupted me. "Forget and apology, I'm not quite sure how to do this so I'm going to try it like we're 13 years old again, Jess will you be my girlfriend?" I stopped with surprised, "really?" He nodded, "I've been thinking about you all day and I decided, I like you a lot so why not ask?" I laughed, "that is incredibly cheesy but yes Niall, I'll be glad to be your girlfriend."
