Chapter 1.
Jess's P.O.V
My heart was pounding as my makeup artist finished off her masterpiece. "Good luck with the performance Jessica," she smiled, "my fingers are crossed." I gave an awkward grin. "Thanks Mary-Anne! That means alot." My voice was high pitch and squeaky and I felt turning bright red as I spoke. I watched as Mary-Anne quietly left the room, closing the door behind her.
As soon as I heard the door click I leapt out of my seat and ran to the mirror. My hands were shaking and I was a nervous wreck.Suddenly I heard someone speak behind me. "Jesus, breathe Jess, you're going to be fine!" I jumped out of my chair and turned around. I felt a smile
come across my face, "Niall!"
Niall's P.O.V
It was very busy back stage of the X Factor, everyone was in a rush. The boys were in a panic, going over lines and checking themselves out in
the mirrors. And we weren't even first! Luckily, we were scheduled last out of all 8 performances. But even as I was thinking about this I remembered Jess was 2nd
I nudged Liam, "mate, I'm just going to check up on Jess." Liam nodded but I could tell he wasn't paying much attention, he was too focused on memorising those lines.
As I walked through the halls, people were rushing about and I was pushed around a fair bit. Finally I arrived at the little door and opened it.
When I entered Jess was checking herself out in the mirror (not unlike anyone else). She looked extremely nervous and hadn't realised I'd come in. I grinned, "Jesus, breathe Jess, you're going to be fine." She jumped about a mile then turned. Then she smiled.
One of the most amazing things about Jess is her smile. When she smiles she puts all her effort into it. And that is why she can ways make you smile back.
Jess's P.O.V
Niall laughed as I ran up to him and gave him a hug. He was about a foot taller than me so I had to jump to wrap my arms around his neck as he placed his around my waist.
After we finished hugging he placed me down on the ground. "Nervous are we?" He smiled cheekily. I rolled my eyes, "you have nooo idea." This had been my dream for a long time and it was scary to think that all of it could be lost after this one show. Niall put his arm around my shoulder,"don't worry about it, the judges will love you." I had a sick feeling in the bottom of my stomach. "What if they don't?" He smiled at me, "they will, I promise
