Just a Kiss

I pull into a parking spot in the shopping center where the restaurant is located, right in front of the restaurant. We all get out of the car and walk into the restaurant, me leading the way. When we get in the hostess leads us to a room in the back where there is a large cooktop table, on which our meals will be cooked, with chairs around it. I sit in between Niall and Addison. Liam is in between Zayn and Addison, and Harry is in between Zayn and Louis. Soon after we sit down we order our drinks and food and chat while we wait for our food. Somehow, we get onto the topic of favorite movies.
“Grease is mi favorite.” Niall states.
“No way! You like Grease? I love Grease! It’s definitely one of my favorites, but not my most favorite.” I respond.
“Well if Grease isn’t your favorite then what is?” He questions.
“Clueless.” I say with a smile on my face.
“Yes! I agree!” says Addison.
“What is Clueless?” Liam asks looking confused along with the rest of the boys.
“What is Clueless!?” Addison and I cry simultaneously.
“It’s just the best movie of all time.” I say.
“Well I guess we are going to have to watch it then.” Niall responds smiling at me.
“I have it on DVD! You can all come to my house and watch it sometime.” I state smiling.
“Sounds good.” Says Niall.
We continue to eat dinner and chat about other various things. As we are finishing up and paying Niall turns to me.
“Hey Leighton. I was wondering if you wanted to go get ice cream together for dessert. Just you and I?”
“I would love to. There is actually a place in this shopping center that has the best ice cream ever. We can go there.” I respond smiling.
“Great and I guess everyone else can go do what they want and we can meet back up when we are all done.” He says.
“Sounds like a plan.”
After paying for our meals we all leave the restaurant. Outside of the restaurant Niall and I tell everyone our plan and we all split up.
As Niall and I head towards the ice cream shop I see Liam and Addison walk off together away from Louis, Zayn, and Harry. I smile and continue leading the way to the ice cream shop. When we get there the shop is completely empty except for the worker who kindly takes our orders. I get a scoop of coffee ice cream in a waffle cone and Niall gets a scoop of chocolate in a waffle cone. We take our ice cream and sit down at a table outside of the shop.
“So, Leighton,” Niall starts after taking a couple bites of his ice cream. “Since you are going to be the one showing me around town I figured I should get to know you better.”
“Ok, what do you want to know?” I reply smiling.
“Well, what is your full name?” he questions.
“Leighton Skye Foster.” I say smiling
“Mine is-” Niall starts
“Niall James Horan. Fan, remember.” I laugh pointing to myself.
“Right. Well I guess you know my answer to all the questions then.” He says smiling at me.
“Anyways, do you have any siblings?” he asks after taking a bite of ice cream.
“I do. I have a super annoying twelve year old sister named Kara.”
“She can’t be that annoying.”
I look at him super seriously, “You have no idea how bad she is.”
“How old are you?”
“I am seventeen but my birthday is in two weeks.”
“Cool! So are you done with school or…? “
“Well I’m graduated from high school, and I want to go to college but I still am thinking about what I want to major in so I am taking a gap year to work and figure that out and then I’ll go to college.”
“That’s really cool. Wait hold on.” He says picking up a napkin. “You have ice cream on your nose.” He reaches out and wipes it off gently, biting his lip as he does so. As he draws his hand back I see his eyes flit from my nose, to my lips, then up to my eyes. I smile at him.
“Thanks.” I say blushing.
“No problem.” He replies smiling back at me. He continues asking me questions and I answer until we are both finished with our ice cream. We leave the ice cream shop and begin walking back to meet up with everyone else. I had gotten dark out while we were eating our ice cream. I stay super close to Niall. I hate the dark. I’ve been afraid of it since I was little. Out of instinct I reach out and grab Niall’s hand. He glances at me and squeeze my hand. He doesn’t let go. We get to the front of the restaurant, where we planned to all meet up, everyone is already there. Addison sees Niall and I holding hands and gives me a questioning look. I give her one back that says “I’ll tell you later”.
“Ok let’s go everyone!” I exclaim letting go of Niall’s hand in order to get into the car. We all get into the car, everyone is in the same seats as before. I begin the drive back to the house where the boys are staying. The whole ride there Niall gives me glances, and I give him some too.I pull into the drive way of the house. Everyone climbs out of the car.
“It was really nice meeting all of you!” Addison says cheerfully.
“Yeah, I had a great time!” I say.
Addison and I quickly hug all the guys bye/goodnight. I notice that Addison gives Liam an extra-long hug. There is something going on there. Addison climbs into the car as the boys head inside. Except Niall doesn’t go inside, he lingers.
“I just wanted to say thanks for taking us to dinner.” He says to me.
“No problem.” I reply smiling.
“Text me, ok?”
“I will.”
He draws me into a hug, burying his head into my shoulder. I breathe the scent of his favorite aftershave, Armani Mania.
“Goodnight, Leighton.” He murmurs into my neck.
“Goodnight, Niall.” I murmur back to him.
After what seems like forever we both let go. He heads into the house, giving me one last smile and wave before he closes the door behind him. I climb into my car and find Addison asleep in the passenger seat. Well, good thing she’s getting a nap. We are going to be up late talking about tonight.
