Combined

Madison's POV

The boys get into the large van while we hop into the smaller one parked directly behind it. We all wave and giggle excitedly, sticking our hands out the window, everyone except for me. They make their way out of the driveway and onto the main road. Suddenly it gets louder as everyone begins to chat among themselves. I just stare out the window, watching the buildings whiz past us. Even Cass, the more introverted one, seems to be enjoying herself.

Usually, I'm the life of the party but suddenly I just wasn't feeling it. Skylar elbows me playfully.
"Come on," she laughs cheerfully, "what's gotten into you?"
Everyone stops their conversations and turn to stare at me. I don't answer. Instead, I just look at them all with a blank expression on my face.

"Are you...okay?" Evangeline asks, observing me.
I nod.
"Just tired, I guess," I reply, rubbing my eyes.
It isn't a complete lie. I have had quite a few sleepless nights lately.
"Who are you and what have you done with Madison?" Daphne teases, her strawberry blonde hair blowing around her face in the breeze coming from the open window.

"Don't worry, it's probably just a mood swing," I shrug, "I should be fine in a little while. I'm just gonna have a kip,"
They resume talking about who has the largest chance with one of the guys. Instead of making a funny but mildly insulting comment as I usually do, I close my eyes and rest my head on Leena's shoulder. It isn't long before the girlish giggling and the loud talking fades and I fall into a deep sleep.

It's funny, when you're asleep, an hour can feel like two minutes. I wake up, feeling refreshed and ready to be myself again. For a minute or two I forget what's going on. It's the weirdest feeling, unpleasant even. At least, it had me squirming.
"Where am I? What day is it?" I frown, sitting up.
There's laughter and as Skylar helps me out of the van, everything comes rushing back to me. I guess that's what happens when you fall asleep during the day.
