Unpredictable.

Lookout Mountain

It's been a few months since Danielle and Liam broke up, and he and the boys went on tour, but I got to go with. This tour was different. The boys had 5 back up dancers, one for each. Coincidentally, we were all the boys best friends. There was me, Tallahassee (everyone called her Talla), Gracie, Perrie, and Chelsea. Talla was Niall's best friend, Gracie was Louis', Perrie to Zayn, and Chelsea to Harry.
Going on tour with our best friends was never something we would've guessed, yet we didn't expect to be best friends with the biggest boy band there was either. I've noticed everything involving these boys has been unpredictable, yet I just can't get used to it. Not only have Liam and I become best friends, and stayed that way, but Talla, Gracie, and I were now best friends. We're close with Perrie and Chels too, but they spend majority of their time alone with Zayn and Harry.
"Kat!" I heard Liam yell.
"Yeah, Li?" I replied back, seeing him on the stage.
"Stop walking around alone! I have to show you something." he smiled.
I ran over to him and gave him a huge hug. I always walk the arena and take it all in that we perform to their sold out shows.
"Why do you always walk alone?" Liam questioned, kissing my forehead.
"I just like to see what we're up against." i smiled.
I blushed at his touch. He held my waist and walked me back stage.
"Someone left you a present in your room." he whispered in my ear, opening the dressing room door.
I saw flowers in front of my mirror and smiled widely.
"Who are they from?" Li asked.
"There's a card, but I'm not one for reading... I don't know." I smiled back.
I really wasn't for reading the small things. The thought counted more than the person who had the thought.
"Well I could---" Liam began, but was quickly cut off.
"Time to go man." Niall busted in.
"Oh hey, Kat!" he smiled.
"Hey you." I replied.
Talla came rushing into to my room, along with the other girls.
"Time for hair." she smiled.
"And makeup." Gracie added.
I couldn't believe it was almost show time.
My hair, make up, and outfit were complete, and I went back stage to get ready.
I was stretching when I got bumped over.
"Excuse me." i said laughing, as Liam helped me up.
"You were vulnerable. I just had to." he laughed.
"You didn't have to, Payne." I replied.
"Not like you love me any less." he smiled.
"Love? Nah." I laughed.
The boys ran up and on stage, the girls and I would soon join them. Their opening song, Live While We're Young. When Liam sang his first line I was first to go out. Everyone followed by their boy's line. We we're around for the boys' set changes, and wardrobe changes as well, that's about it, aside from the few songs they chose for us to be there for.
Liam- Meet me in the back lot after?
Me- Sounds sketch.
Liam- Do you trust me?
Me- Absolutely.
Liam- Just do it then.
I quickly fixed my makeup and went for my car in the back lot. I smiled as I felt arms wrap around my waist.
"Best hugs ever." I smiled, when I turned to see Liam.
"I know." he replied back. "Ready to go?" he asked.
"Go where?"
"It's a surprise." he replied.
"But... I'm driving... Therefore I need direction." I smirked.
"And directions you'll get. get in." he said, opening my door.
"Smart ass." I smiled, getting in.
Liam directed me all over the city it felt like.
"I swear to god you're literally saying left, right, every few blocks, and have no idea where we're going." I finally shouted in frustration.
"I am not. I have a destination." Liam smarted back.
"Oh yeah? Where is that Payne?" I asked.
"Right, left, there." he replied.
I sharply turned both ways in frustration, then pulled up to one of my favorite places. We were in the states, so I was quite familiar with most places. In this case we pulled up to Lookout Mountain in Colorado. Of course I was at the bottom of the mountain, but I couldn't wait to get to the top.
"You're from Colorado, and you couldn't tell where I was taking you?" Liam smirked.
"You took the most back-ass-wards way ever. No I didn't."
"Good. That's the point." he smiled.
I drove up the mountain, and actually found a decent spot overlooking all the gorgeous, golden lights. We sat on the hood of my car, and Liam pulled me close.
"Still hate me?" he asked.
"Hate you? I could never. Just sick of you being so unpredictable." I sighed.
That's my life, love. Nothing is predictable anymore." he sighed as well.
"Yeah... I bet you didn't predict me." I giggled.
"No, but when I first saw you, I didn't expect to run into who I did either."
I gave him a confused look, and he continued.
"Have I never told you?" he asked, I shook my head, "The first time I saw you in the group of girls for X-Factor, I walked up to Elijah and said 'She's gorgeous', he almost punched me in the face." Li laughed.
"HA. The good old days. I'm surprised he didn't kill you." I laughed along.
"Me too. He's missing out you know." Liam smiled.
"Trust me. He's not missing anything special." my heart dropped just mentioning his name.
"I know you won't tell me what happened, but I'm here if you ever want to. And Kat... He is missing out... Big time. You're the most amazing girl I've ever met, the best friend I've ever had, and you truly are gorgeous." Liam blushed, and I couldn't read his true emotion.
"Stop being the perfect, most unpredictable, guy ever." I smiled, nudging him.
He smiled and kissed my cheek.
"Then you would treat you like the princess you are?" he smiled, getting off my car. "C'mon love."
My heart skipped, and I couldn't breathe when he called me princess. It's no secret... I had fallen for my best friend months ago, now I'm just wondering if he fell for me too...
