I felt a little squeeze on my hand, I then woke up and looked at her cinched hair and the blackness of smoke on her face. The tubes were removed from her mouth and throat, that's good right? She looked so peaceful. I felt her squeeze my hand again. "Summer?" I whispered. Her eyes started to move under her lids.
IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING? SHE'S WAKING UP? Oh. My. Days. My best friend is back. 'Calm down Niall' my inner voice told me.
"Niall?" She croaked.
"Yeh baby, it's me." I smiled. Tears. Again. Really? Happy tears thought right?
She opened her eyes, and I stayed by her side while letting her eyes get used to the light. She looked at me then pulled me into a tight hug.
"Why you crying?" She asked.
"'Cause I thought I lost you." I burst into tears.
"Alright lovebirds, move a side, so I can see she's fine, and ready to be discharged. Thank you." Said the strict nurse trying to be nice but that wasn't happening!
"I'll go let the guys know." I whispered then kissed her cheek.
I ran past a coupe of doors into the waiting room. Zayn was passed out with Liam in the chairs and Louis and Harry were talking about how or how would of done this.
"Alright Nialler?" Louis asked.
"She's...She's" I tried to catch my breath again.
"She's?" Harry tipped his head to the side.
"She's awake." I smiled.
They all cheered waking Liam and Zayn up.
"Whet goins onw?" Zayn asked/mumbled into his arm.
"She's awake?" Liam asked. I nodded happily.


The same night she was discharged from the stinking hospital. I was very happy but sadly she was on crutches because she has sprained her ankle and broken a couple of ribs. But at least it's only for a few days and I'm going help her get through this. I carried the duffle bag into the room and dumped it on her bed while she was slowly hopping up the stairs. Harry must off said something cheeky 'cause she's already telling him to fuck off! I'm so happy she's home, did I mention it's not the same without her?
"Alright hoppy?" I joked.
"Don't you start." Smacking me in the shin with one of her crutches.
"Alright your not an old lady with a walking stick that goes around attacking people." We laughed.
She flopped on her bed dropping her crutches. "Ah, that feels good." She sighed.
"Do you need anything?"
"No, I'm good, thanks though, I'm gonna have a snooze."
"Okay, do you want me to leave you?"
"No, can you stay please?" She begged.
"Sure." You don't have to tell me twice. I slipped under the covers and I held her in my arms whispering 'Little things' in her ear while playing with her hair.
After about half an hour of cuddling and her sleeping, I slipped away quickly and tidied away her clothes from the duffle bag. Do you remember the day I found something in her bag?
But then she walked into the room so I put it away quickly. Well yeh I just remembered about it. The gun was at the bottom of the bag, I held it in my hand thinking; why the fuck does she have this in her bag?
