Chapter 14
Ashton’s POV
I walked down the hallway of the o2l house. Little known fact… I loved watching YouTube, I watched all the people that were coming… Tyler Oakley, Troye Sivan, YouTube boy band, Zoella (don’t call me gay… she’s hot), DailyGrace. Connor and I walked in and they all gawked at us- well except Caspar, he looked up and a light lit up in his eyes as he jumped up to greet me.
“Hey mate!” Cas said with cheer, “What’s up”
“You wouldn’t believe the shit that’s gone on this week,” I laughed
“You’re- you’re” Grace said pointing to me
“Hi I’m Ashton! It’s so cool to meet you guys, I love your channels.”
“Oh- My- GOD” Tyler screamed
“Do I have something on my face?” I laughed
“Sorry ‘bout them, kinda forgot to tell them you were coming” Connor said as he walked to grab a drink
“Oh, ok then” I said, I started to get a little creeped out and Ricky was the first to come out of the staring.
“Guys stop staring! You’re creeping him out!” Did he just read my mind? They all stopped staring and they introduced themselves to me. After everyone was acting normal around me, they all started to ask me questions.
“So, You single or not?” Tyler asked
“Um…” I laughed “I guess so, I’m not sure.”
“How are you not sure?” Joe asked
“Well, um… I was… or I am… or well… I don’t know… But I was seeing this girl Jessica, and… I-I think she cheated on me.” I said as I was holding back my tears.
“Mate, that sucks, I’m so sorry” He replied
“Well, I mean, whatever who needs her. It’s her loss” I said trying to sound angry
“Do you mind me asking where she is now?” Jim Chapman asked
“Um… She’s probably with Jack” I said
“Who’s that?” Marcus joined in.
“He’s the man who abducted both me and Jessica.” I said slowly
“You were abducted?” Zoë asked with alarm
“Yeah… But I managed to escape”
“What about Jessica?” Kian asked
“She chose to stay there” I said sternly, as I said that, I got a call from Louis. “I’ll be right back guys, sorry”
I talked to everyone on the phone and they said they’d come get me. I hung up and smiled to myself… I was going home. As I was about to walk back to the people that were talking, I got another phone call, thinking it was Louis I answered without thinking. The voice wasn’t anyone from 5sos or 1D.
Jessica’s POV
Another kick was delivered to my stomach as I heard myself laugh. Well not exactly me… Let me explain (A/N I’m trying something different, if you don’t like this paragraph’s format, sorry but this is like REALLY important, I hate to sound rude but, get over it and read it) So it turns out that I have a twin sister named Abigail, when we were born, they put Abigail up for adoption and kept me… But she told me that Ashton escaped. I hope to god that he did and he’s safe, that’s all I ask.
My dad found Abigail, which led to Abigail finding Jack. My dad basically runs this whole thing… He sent Jack to get me, Ashton was just in the way and they took him too. I was the reason he was going through all this shit, it was all my fault.
I was knocked out of my thoughts by being thrown against a wall. I looked and saw Jack screaming at me for something, but I couldn’t understand. I saw the vein stick out of his neck, though and I knew that meant trouble. I panicked and decided to play dead. I know, stupid, but it worked. As everyone walked out of the room I got up and sprinted for Jack’s office, I found my phone and my purse and ran out the door, I heard my dad scream and I ran faster. I ran for what felt like a couple minutes and I looked up at the street name and saw it was Sunset Blvd. I looked at my phone and unlocked it.
“Madam? Are you okay?” I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned to look and saw a boy around 15 years old with concern in his eyes. I touched my face and felt liquid. I looked back at him and shook my head weakly before bawling. He embraced me and I returned the action. After some time, I pulled back and looked at his shirt that was soaked around his shoulder area and I pulled a weak smile. He returned the smile.
“Would you like some food?” He asked
“No, I’m alright” I said but as if on cue my stomach growled. The boy laughed. I started thinking of the last time I ate, but nothing could register.
“I’ll go get you something” He smiled and turned to walk into a café
“Hey! What’s your name?” I ask
“Chris” He replied with a familiar goofy, crooked smile.
“Ashton” I mumbled
I pulled my phone back out and pressed Ashton’s number. It ringed twice before I heard the voice that I ever so missed.
“Oi!” He said
“Ashton” I whispered tears of joy started to come down.
“What do you want?” He said strictly
“W-what do you mean?” I asked in alarm
“Are you having fun with your new boyfriend”
“Ashton, you’re my boyfriend”
“Sure didn’t look like that when you were kissing that other guy” He yelled
“What are you talking about?!” I cried through my tears “I haven’t kissed anyone!”
“Don’t lie to me! I saw you!” I flashed back to Abigail. Abigail and I’s hair looks the same and we have the same colored eyes, so from afar we look the same I guess, she could fool anyone and
“Ashton! That wasn’t me!” I screamed
He scoffed “Yeah? Then who was it?”
“Ashton, I have a twin sister named Abigail, she looks like me, Ashy I swear!”
“DON’T call me that, let me think…” the line was quiet for some time
“Fine, where are you?”
“Sunset Blvd.” I said
“Me and some friends will come pick you up.” He said
“Thank you Ashton!” I said
“Just stay where you are Jessica” Ashton said before he hung up.
Chris came back out with a bagel and some eggs. I grabbed a fork and dug in.
“Thank you so much for your kindness, Chris” I said with a smile.
“No problem, I just don’t like seeing people upset” He replied
“Well I already have a boyfriend, but I do want to keep in touch, here put in your phone number” I said handing him my phone. He created his contact and then I heard a honk come from behind me. I turned and saw Ashton getting out of the car. Tears brimmed my eyes and I laughed as I ran up to him. I hugged him and he picked me up and spun me around.
“Thank you Ashton, thank you, thank you, thank you, I missed you so much” I cried into his ribs because that’s where I stood with my hight
“Jessica, look at me.” Ash said. I did as he said and stared into his hazel orbs
“Do you love me?” He asked
“Of course I love you, forever and always” I said with a sad smile. He broke the eye connection that we were having
“Ashton I swear, I’m not lying… If I don’t have you, I would kill myself” I said softly
“I can’t live without you” Ash whispered
“Are you mad at me?”
“I was but now I’m not” Ashton smiled. I leaned in and stood on my tiptoes and he bent down. Our lips collided and started to move in sync, I felt the world dissolve into nothing but Ashton and I. I smiled into the kiss and as did he. I pulled away due to my lungs begging for air. I placed my forehead against his.
“Ashton… I think I’m in love with you” I said quietly.
