Chapter 3

Codi's POV
Saturday (still)

We have finally arrived, its beautiful here. I'm so thankful that my parents got an all inclusive hotel, I'm not 21 so no legal drinking in the states, but here I'm well over age. And my parents don't mind, they know my sister and I drink at home. They're not stupid. We all wait on the couch as my dad checks us in, they got us two adjoining rooms so they have their own, and my sister and I will share.

“Got the rooms, were in complex A, floor 3, rooms 312 and 314.” He explains as he takes his bag from my mom's watchful eye and follows the map given to him at the desk. We continue on the path to our complex, we see food and drink huts, infinity pools, a beautiful white sandy beach, rows and rows of chairs, the exercise room, lizards everywhere, giant turtles, just paradise.

We all ride up the elevator in silence, you can tell my mom and dad are still really tired. They both worked right up to the trip, mom even working 16 hours. She got home, packed, and maybe slept 2 hours before we had to get up and leave, hence the attitude.

Maggie and I get the key from my dad and open our room. Its a pretty typical room, two double beds, tv, small table and chairs, balcony with the perfect view of the ocean, only thing different from typical American hotel rooms, is the tile floor instead of carpet. The first thing Maggie and I do is claim beds, she takes the one closer to the balcony, I don't care.

“What should we do first?” She asks as she throws herself on the bed.

“Well-” I start to say as I'm interrupted by a knock on the adjoining door. I unlock it and open it to see my mom.

“Your dad and I are tired, were going to lay down, you girls okay to explore on your own for a while?” She asks with a hopeful sparkle in her eyes.

“We'll be fine mom, get some rest.” I say as a smile appears on her lips and she shuts the door. I turn around to face Maggie who is still laying on the bed looking at the ceiling.

“Well, just you and me Mags, mom and dad are going to take a nap. What do you have in mind?” I ask as I grab our passports and wallets and put them in the room provided safe.

“I don't know about you but I need a shower. Then maybe we can change into our suits and just check out the beach?” She asks as she stands up to get her bathroom stuff out.

“I don't need one, I actually woke up on time to shower this morning.” I smirk.

“Well we can't all be so perfect Codi!” She yells from the bathroom. I stand up and open the balcony to greet the fresh ocean air, little salty but it's still fairly early in the morning.

“Codi!” I hear Maggie yell from the bathroom as she sticks her head out of the frame.

“What?” I yell back at her.

“There's only two towels, we're going to need more, if you want to shower later, and might as well get another key, weird that we only got one.” Maggie is still yelling over the noise of the water.

“I'll head back to the lobby, be back in little bit.” I say as a make my way out the door, closing it lightly and making my way towards the elevators. As I'm almost to the main lobby my phone rings, amazingly it works here (I'm sure it will be a huge charge to my parents bill), it's my sister. I answer it and continue walking.

“What do you want Maggie?” I ask almost annoyed, I just talked to her.

“Have you left the lobby yet?” She asks.

“No, I haven't even gotten there yet, why?” I kick some rocks off the path.

“Well I forgot some things, can you see if they have extras?” I can hear the water still on in the background.

“What do you need?”

“Well a toothbrush, razor, and body wash.” She rattles off. I look up and notice a family with girls about my age walking towards me, I give them a smile and say “Hi” before I continue walking.

“Jeez Mags, did you remember anything?”

“Just please Codi Mae?” Using my full name to try to get me on her side.

“I got it, hurr-” I walk right into something hard. That's what I get for looking at the ground and not paying attention to where I'm walking. Ran straight into someone. I can hear Maggie still talking but I quickly hang up and look up to see what I ran into, or I guess who.

“I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention.” I look up, I know exactly who this is.

Liam's POV
-------------------------

We have finally made it to Aruba. I've never been her, its warm, I'm glad I wore a short sleeved shirt and jeans instead of a jumper. I could tell Nicola and Ruth were uncomfortable in theirs. I checked us in, my mum and dad have their own room, Nicola and Ruth have one, and I have my own. I turn around to give everyone their keys and we start walking to complex B, were on the top floor when I see her.

Kicking rocks, talking on the phone with a light smile on her face. She has a simple white dress on with sun-kissed skin, and red shoes, I wonder how long she's been here.

“Liam, are we going?" Ruth asks, holding her bag looking at me.

“Yeah, I just have to ask the front desk something, I'll be there in a minute.” I turn back around as I see my family continue to the complex. I itch my scalp and try to casually look towards her as my family walks past her, even though she's on the phone she looks up at them and smiles. That instantly puts a smile on my face, either she's American, or she's been here a while. British people aren’t usually that friendly towards strangers.

I walk a little bit further to the desk and see my family out of sight and I can hear this woman getting closer. I look down to my phone to check twitter, anything to distract me. I let the guys know I was going on vacation, they were all going off doing their own things so we might not be in that much contact this week. I have thousands of retweets, favorites, and comments on my selfie. I chuckle to myself and then feel something run right into me.

I turn around, it's her. She quickly ends her phone call and before she even looks up, apologizes for running into me. She looks up, and my breath almost hitches, she's even more beautiful up close. She has gorgeous piercing blue eyes, long brown hair.

It's okay, love, I wasn't paying attention either.” I fiddle with my phone as she looks down.

“Well, I just need to ask for a few things from the desk, enjoy your stay, I'm sure I'll see you around.” She states as she takes a side step and continues towards the desk.

“Yeah, you too.” I whisper, looking confused.

What just happened? I'm not used to being ignored like that. Not just ignored, but almost dismissed. I'm not cocky, but most people my age know who I am. Maybe this will be a good vacation. I grab my bags and continue on my way.

@Louis girl

I'm glad you liked it! I probably could have kept going but I didn't want a story that just dragged on and on!

@Emmy2320
I knew you probably wouldn't like the ending, but there is hope in the last section! I'm not exactly opposed to a sequel, I just don't have any idea where I would go with it as of right now. :) I'm working on a new one right now and I'll let everyone know on here when I post it!

I really enjoyed this story even if I am a little sad that they didn't get together! You are an amazing writer and I love that this wasn't a typical story. A sequel would be wonderful but I understand if you don't want to write one! I look forward to reading more of your stories in the future! :)
