I cant believe am doing this, I'm not this person. I dont go shopping for pretty dresses, I mean why would I? I'm not even going to the dance. Frankly, I think school dances are stupid and huge pain in the butt,I mean finding the perfect dress,the perfect date and the perfect shoe all for one night makes no sense.

Even though I hated it I couldn't leave I was here for moral support for two of my best friends Jessica and Rachel who I'd known since second grade.We did everything together so when they asked me to go shopping with them for the Black and White ball at school I couldn't say no.

it was almost 7pm and we had gone to almost 10 shops in Ontario and they still hadnt found 'the' dress, as Jess had put it. I was so tired.After finally finding the dresses they wanted I decided to ditch them for a book store... yup thats how lame i am .

"Oh come on Ari at least help us go shoe shopping " Jessica pouted.

No thank you,am going to a bookstore to go get books for my mystical creature research paper." she looked defeated and sad but immediately smiled after she spotted a tiara in the display,typical Jess.

Rachel who was trying on her dress looked at me,then at my hands then at me again. "Ari aren't you buying a dress for the dance?" she looked worried.

"Nope am not going to the dance." I ran out before either Jess or Rachel could lecture me on the importance of high school memories.
