Tali's POV:

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I walked over to turn the alarm clock off while putting on Tiffany and Co. earrings. 'Looks like I win today' I flashed my alarm a smirk. I was way ahead of time for first day back. I went back to my wardrobe to look for heels to match my outfit. I stood in front of my wall of heels and pondered where to start my search. 'Uuuh I love these!' I grabbed a pair of red heels from up top. 'Too bad it doesn't match my outfit' I pouted as I was forced to return it. I continued on searching till my hands landed on the perfect pair. 'Hmm too dark, too colourful, too glittery, too low… PERFECT!' I grabbed the pair of nude pumps. I slipped them on and strutted towards the mirror. 'Yay' I did a small clap as I examined todays outfit.First impression are important I reminded myself.

I proceeded back out to the bedroom to organise my school things. I unzipped the channel tote on my bed and checked that I had packed my essentials. Mascara…foundation…blush…eyeliner…eye shadow…lipgloss..sanitiser…comb…perfume…sunnies…wallet…credit card…iphone…ipad and pens.'Hmm I feel like I'm missing something' I placed my right index finger on my chin as I contemplated. 'Oh well never mind' I shrugged the thought off and grabbed my bag off the bed. I began singing the words to Pharell's old hit 'Happy as I headed out the door.

'Ohh wait, I nearly forgot that' I chuckled as I turned around to grab my notebooks off the table.

'Because I'm happy, clap along if you know what happiness is to you' I sang as I descended down the staircase. 'Morning Mum, morning Dad!' I called out as I entered the dining.

Jake's POV:

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I buried my head under my duvet and groaned in annoyance.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I slipped my arm out of the duvet and reached for the darn clock on the table and threw it across the floor

Beep! Beep! Beep!

'Arghhhh' I let out a grunt as the noise persisted.

'Sir Jake?…Sir Jake?..' Sue our head maid knocked on the door. 'Breakfast is ready, you'll be late for your first day' she reminded me. I stumbled out of bed and yawned and stretched as I made my way towards my bathroom.

--
'All done' I zipped up my bag and carried it on my back. I walked over to the mirror and took one last look at myself. 'Well Jake, you did pretty good in 10 minutes' I gave myself the thumbs up. I went downstairs and headed towards the dining room.

'Woow Sue isn't this a little too much' I let out a chuckle at the sight of the scrumptious feast laid out across the table. 'Well Sir…' Sue pulled out the chair for me to seat. 'Your Mum reminded us that today's breakfast must be EXTRA special for your first day back' she emphasised as I sat down. The delight feast in front of me has blinded me to notice that the table was set only for two. I turned to Sue and she flashed me the 'familiar small smile with a nod' where she didn't have to give me an explanation because I know too well what the explanation would be. It was some special silent language we've developed over the years.

‘Morning Mum, morning Dad!' TJ cheerfully called out as she entered the kitchen. The joy on her face faded into disappointment at the absence of our parents. 'Oh, sorry Ms. Tali but your parents flight got pushed back to this evening. They've had to extend their stay in New York' Sue verbally explained to her.

'Of course..' TJ sighed in disappointment.

Martha and Tess our other maids entered the room with jugs of juice. TJ reluctantly took her seat across from me while the maids poured juice in our glass. 'Sue, Martha, Tess, come join us' I invited them as I took a bite off my toast. 'Oh no thanks Sir we're alright' Martha and Tess politely replied.

Apart from the sound of our cutleries touching the plates, breakfast was quiet….like it always was without Mum and Dad. It's not that my sister and I don't talk, trusssst me, she talks A LOT. But I know that she longs for those 'quality family time' during mealtime at the table where everyone discusses past events, present circumstances and future plans in between laughs and jokes.

Woof! Woof!

'Tinnny!' I let out a laugh as she ran towards me. I placed her on my lap and fed her some bacon. I looked across to TJ but unfortunately even presence of Tiny failed to cheer my sister up.

'Good morning, Sir Jake, Ms. Tali' John our driver entered the room. 'The car is ready outside, when you're ready to leave' he informed us. 'Hey man, have you had breakfast?' I asked in a casual tone. 'I'm good thanks Sir' he smiled before leaving the room. 'I'm done..' TJ softly spoke then made her way out of the room. 'Looks like I'm done too' I put Tiny back down and headed out to the car.

'Have a great first day back!' Sue enthusiastically declared before closing the car door for us.

I plugged my earphones in and scrolled through my playlist. My sister stared aimlessly out the window for most of the car ride to school. You'd think that the flood notifications her phones receiving from her social networks would send her on a hype like it does most time…but not today.

'Hey come on now, you know Mum and Dad' I tried to wash away her disappointment. 'Yeah, I know' she sighed. 'I just thought maybe they'll be here…' she hoped.

The car entered the familiar school grounds that we've escaped from all summer. John pulled over at the entrance of the main building to drop us off. 'Don't let that frown spoil your Blueberry outfit' I joked around as we got out of the car.

'BURBERRY Jake! Burberry not Blueberry' she corrected me in an annoyed voice as she closed the door. 'Ey TJ, is that a wrinkle I see' I let out a loud gasp as I pointed on her forehead. 'HA, HA, HA fanyyy' she rolled her eyes at my overused tease. 'Taliii!' her clique squealed in a tone beyond my human ear can grasp. 'Bye twin' I waved at her with a smirk. 'Grr' she gritted her teeth at the word she refuses to be connected to me as.

'Jaaaakeee' a rowdy crowd called out. I turned around and it was the boys already geared up in their soccer uniforms. 'Well guys..' I looked around the group sharing the same excitement they had on their face. 'It's senior year' I smirked.

'SENIOR YEAR BABY!' they shouted and whistled as we entered the building.

@Wittykitty His so hot! I have to say for Tali I had heaps of options to choose from but finding the perfect guy to play Jacob was a struggle! Like he had to be good looking but not as 'glamorous' as his sister.

I love how Cameron Dallas plays Jacob now this story just got even better then before aha
