Hannah's P.O.V.
I can't believe he did that to me. After all I had done to him. What did I ever do to deserve this?? My life has sunk into the depths of hell. Nobody to rescue me.
I take the long way home walking slowly in the rain near an animal hospital with a small shelter next to it. I don't know what to do anymore. I thought I felt love and passion between us. I guess not. Just before I could go more into thoughts, someone very familiar pulls up by me. Let's just say, what happens is better luck than it seems.
"Hey, are you okay?" a familiar voice says to me.
I look up seeing it was Jakato. The most popular guy in the school. Why would he care? I am nothing compared to those beautiful and fit girls. Every girl in the school drools over him. I don't see why.
"Yea, I guess. Actually, no. Not really."
He pulls up more into the parking lot and parks getting out the car carefully not slipping.
"What happened?" he asks very concerned.
"It's ok. There's nothing to worry about," I say pushing my blonde hair out of my blue eyes and behind my ear with my gray sweatshirt hoody over.
"Please tell me. I know I don't seem like the kind of guy who cares about this kind of shit, but I do," he says coming closer to me like he wants me.
"I guess I could tell you. Today was my boyfriends and I 3 year anniversary," I start saying and explaining very settle of what happened," and I caught him cheating on me. I don't know how long they have been dating or anything. All I know is that he cheated on me with the most popular girl in school," I say trying to hold back my tears but again, they come pouring out of my eyes like a never ending waterfall.
"What a jerk. What he did wasn't cool. Is this guy popular at all?" he asks sitting down on a dry bench under the shelter getting away from the rain.
"No, not really. I thought we had love and passion together. Apparently not. My heart has fallen out of my chest and feels like it got stomped on a million times. Has this happened to you?" I ask, wiping my tears away taking a seat next to him.
"Yes. I am pretty sensitive so I get my feelings hurt really easily but I have an easy way of showing it doesn't bother me."
I keep thinking why he is talking to me. The only other reason I know him is because we were best friends when we were little but that all changed after I dated Patrick. His best friend in middle school, but moved away.
Jakato’s P.O.V.
C'mon Jakato tell her you still like her. Tell her you have never stopped liking her.
"I'm really sorry that happened to you. But if you need someone to talk to I'm here for you like I always was," I say trying to make her feel better.
"Thanks. You're the first person to be here for me in a while," she says sounding like she has stopped crying.
"It's no problem at all. Can I ask you some advice?" I ask her trying to get her to give me advice to asking her out.
"Sure. What is it?"
"There's this girl I really like, that I have liked for a while now. I always get shy around her and want her to notice me. I want to tell her I like her but I'm afraid she won't like me back or will reject me. I know I'm popular in all but I have feelings and so does everyone else. Is there any way of telling her I like her and getting her to go out with me?" I ask kind of shyly hoping she doesn't realize I'm trying to ask her out.
"If I were you, I would just tell her how you feel and maybe show her how you feel. Maybe give her flowers or stuffed bear to show you have feelings for her,” she says having a little confidence in talking.
"Okay thanks. You give some good advice. I do have one more question," I say trying to have the courage to ask her out now.
"Yes?"
"Will you go out with me?"
Right after I say that, my heart beat gets faster as the blood runs through my body making my pulse go above and beyond like I'm going to explode. I wonder if she still has feelings for me. All we are doing now is just looking into each other's eyes waiting for answers from the both of us.
