Niamh's POV
"The lesson today is based on The Renaissance. Can you tell me at least two famous people from The Renaissance?"
I groaned at my history teacher, glancing over at Niall who sat with Daniel Reily. Behind him sat his other friends, James O' Mahony and Dean Carter. They were probably the most popular lads along with Daniel and Niall. Niall was mostly popular because of his sweet, funny and outgoing personality. The rest were just popular because of their good-looks. Well that's what I think anyway. Yeah Niall is good-looking, but he has more to him than good boyfriend material. That's the thing I like about him. It makes him a good friend. The rest are decent, nice lads but they're just not as good as Niall. I don't think anyone is. Niall is just Niall. That's what makes him so great. He's just great and doesn't let anyone put him down.
Our classroom wasn't exactly 'exciting'. While eager teachers and students would love it to be like this, it was more like this. Yup, how eye catching. I will tell you, though, what's very eye catching is Daniel Reily. Although Niall's best friend, I have to admit, I have a huuuuge crush on him. His dreamy eyes, large biceps, abs, long fringe, tell me about it! To most the class is boring and dull, but to me it's like paradise. Because I get to stare at Daniel for forty minutes. Sitting across from me, he was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Unfortunately, he, and the rest of the school knew I was crushing on him, which sucked. But as I stared at him, I felt everything else blur, but he was clear as crystal. I heard someone shout "Ooooowww, It looks like your secret admire is staring at you, Dan" I quickly glanced down, blushing madly. He looked over at me and I could see him smile. When he looked away I looked over to see Niall staring over at me. I gave him a questioning look and he just looked over to the teacher. I shrugged it off and continued staring at Daniel.
By the time the lunch bell rang I had already suffered in two classes without Daniel. Luckily Niall was there to keep me company, like he always does. I walked down the hallway with him, on the way to the canteen when I bumped into someone.
I was knocked to the ground with a thump and I groaned in pain.
"Oh sorry sweetheart" I heard a deep, luxurious voice say. I nearly melted, knowing it was him. Daniel. He helped me up and our eyes met for a brief second, before Niall cut through the perfect moment saying, "Dan, are we in the canteen today?" Sometimes we went to the chipper or subway or somewhere like that for lunch. First and second years aren't allowed out of the school grounds for lunch, but third, fourth, fifth and sixth are. Daniel shook his head.
"Nah, we decided to meet up in Mc Donalds" He told us. "The lads are there already, but I came back to search for you"
Luckily, our school is in walking distance of town so we get to get stuff in all sorts of shops at lunch.
"Ya comin'?"
