Binding Rules
Barking. (14th Chapter)
.............................
Harmony's POV:
.............................
“Thank you for the ride, Niall.” He gives me a light hug, while I step out of the truck. “I don’t advice you to go to work tonight.” I furrow my eyebrows together, leaning my face through the opened window. “Why?” I ask and he replies sadly: “Harry won’t give you a break, not after the whole commotion that happened. Its just better for you to stay home, call a friend or do something relaxing. You need to rest and clear your mind, because Harry needs a fully-charged mind to be handled.” I shake my head, laughing along with Niall towards his advice. But he has a point, I am stressed and last night’s events are nerve killing; not to forget this morning as well.
“You’re right. I guess I will. (I lean my face away from the window, giving him a light wave) Stay in touch, alright?” He waves back with a polite grin, showing his well intentions. “Of course! I didn’t take your number for the sake of collecting contacts.” We share a last laugh before he drives off to his destination.
I huff a relieved breath, once I step into the house. Finally, no more of Harry’s repulsive attitude; I can now just sit down and relax. I send a quick message to Serena, explaining why I won’t be able to come to work tonight. I hear a far barking sound, which makes me walk faster to embrace my pet dog. “I’m sure you’re hungry. (I poke its nose) I’ll fix you something right away.”
...At Night…
I cooked, cleaned, showered, and tidied the entire house. People consider taking a day off will be just to relax and stay seated; I guess I’m quite the opposite when it comes to having a holiday. I don’t know, I think I got used to creating a certain job around the house; I can’t sit still or else I would feel lazy.
I fear being lazy, because to be honest, I never got the chance to experience this feeling. I’ve been serving my departed foster parents for five consecutive years, and I guess I got used to this non-stop function.
It’s past ten already, and since there is nothing left to pressure myself with; I relax on the couch to watch some television. As crazy as I may sound, I have to admit that I am lonely. I watch television by myself, I cook for one person; I have no one to share a meal with. No one to talk to or show any sort of interaction.
All I have is fog to ease my loneliness. The dog passes by the living room, and once he looks at me; I pat my thighs for him to climb on. He reacts to my wish, resting himself in a comforted seat. I begin brushing his fur, but all of a sudden; he jumps off of my thighs and rushes to the door.
Who would it possibly be at this time of night? Fog begins barking, but once I open the door; he quiets down. “Louis? (He smiles, allowing himself to step inside) What brings you here?” I hug him warmly, escorting him to the living room. “Wow this place is spotless. How much do I have to pay, for you to turn my bedroom to the same condition of your place?” I laugh at his joke, while he slides down on the couch.
“You still didn’t answer me.” He nods, and then speaks: “I actually asked Niall to drive me here. I noticed you weren’t at the bar, so I thought of giving you a visit. Is that alright, though?” I nod immediately; glad that for once I won’t be spending the endless evening alone.
