My Superhero
Motivation
*Bang* my body shot up and my eyes quickly wandered around the room. "Who was that!?" I asked Harry who was going to the window.
"Niall, he was climbing the walls, it's okay." He shushed me. He crawled back into bed with me and we cuddled. "How was last night?" I blushed hard and smiled.
"Amazing." He chuckled and embraced me tighter. We laid in silence for a while until there was a knock.
"It's your dad Luci, training starts in ten." I scurried out of bed and put on some gym shorts and a tank top.
"Do I look okay?" I asked Harry while looking at myself in the mirror.
"Yeah, beautiful." I smiled and dragged him out of my room. He got us a few water bottles and we met up with the rest of the boys and my dad.
"To my office." I could tell that he was still trying to get past the fact of Harry and I dating but I was grateful that he accepted it. We entered his office, nothing special. Or so I thought. Liam knocked a pattern on a wall and it opened like in those supernatural movies! They led me down a dim lighted hallway and brought me to a door with looks and codes on it. Each of the boys put their fingers on a pad, and had a full body scan to ensure identification. I was let in after my dad and was taken back by what I saw.
"Oh my f-"
"Fascinating, right?" My dad caught me. I looked around in awe, it was huge down here. There were a lot of people here too. "Headquarters. You've been living on-top of it your whole life." I laughed and gasped. "This is where you start training." I was brought to a private room with only a woman who looked a little older than me in it.
"Hello I'm Caroline, I'll be your part time trainer. My partner Mike is out today so it'll just be us two." She smiled.
"Won't I be training with the boys?" I asked confused.
"Soon, your father has informed me that you've just figured out about your powers. Don't worry, you'll be a pro in no time." She gave me a spandex suit.
"You expect me to wear this?" I asked sarcastically. She slowly nodded and laughed.
"You'll look a lot better in it than the guys." I shrugged and changed into the tight spandex suit. Once it was on I felt naked, it was weird. "Now this suit makes you feel weightless so you'll be able to move faster." I looked in the mirror and laughed at myself.
"I look ridiculous!"
"You'll get used to it! Come on let's get started." We moved to another private room and for the next 4 hours we worked on my powers. This. Was. Exhausting. No lie.
"Again!" Caroline shouted. I was working on my weather ability. "Make the sun come out!" I tried my hardest but it was still raining. "Use your mind! Get motivated! That's the key! Imagine you freezing in the arctic!" And so I did. After 25 tried it happened. "That's it! Now snow!" Beads of sweat were dripping down my face and it began to snow. I could feel the remainder of my energy fading away.
"AHHH!" I stopped and fell to the ground. Caroline started clapping.
"Very good! You have the healing down, invisibility is okay we still need to work on weather." She gave me my water while I was still trying to catch my breath.
"What was your power?" I asked.
"Mind control." I looked at her surprised. That's a cool power.
"Wow! That's so cool! But what happened?" She frowned and shook her head.
"Everyone here was born with a power, Jameson took us in and gave us a place to call home. When Joseph came after us our power disappeared. That's why we train and figure out how to get them back. I never wanted to be normal, it just wasn't me." I hugged Caroline and patted her back.
"Thanks for teaching me, I really appreciate it."
"No problems, remember motivation." Her words lingered throughout me head for the rest of the day. After training I met up with the boys, they could not stop staring at me.
"Caroline said that they help!" I playfully hit Harry.
"Spandex suit you." He leaned down and kissed me. "What do you want to do now?"
"I'm hungry and tired! Can we get something to eat? Just the two of us?"
"Sure, you want to change?"
"What? You don't like me in this?" I asked jokingly.
"Honestly love I don't mind, your ass looks great."
"Harold!" We found our way back to my room and I changed into some comfortable clothes. "Ready!" I called. We left to a fast food place and waited for our number to be called. "I need to use the restroom, I'll be back" I said and headed off. I washed my hands and examined my face in the mirror.
"Excuse me." A girl asked. I looked behind me to see a nice looking blonde standing there. "Do you have a tampon?"
"Yes!" I gave her the tampon and she went into a stall. A few minutes later she came out and smiled.
"Thanks so much! Are you new here? I haven't seen you around."
"Not really, I'm visiting, I grew up here, my names Lucille." I shook her hand after she was done washing.
"Erica Powell."
