“Why are you doing here?”

That’s Cliff who asked that. You thought it’s me? Well, it’s not. I also thought that I must be the one who should ask that – not really, but still – not him.

“Why didn’t you tell me you’d be out?” he asked furiously, giving Luke a warning glare. Cliff was wearing a leather jacket, a white v-neck shirt underneath with black pants and converse.

I stood up from the chair and walked near Cliff to speak to him and not make a scene. He’s about to make one, though.

“Cliff, not here.” I said silently.

“You, go home. Now.” Cliff ordered Luke with dominance in his voice and pointed at the front door of the shop.

Luke, with a serious-looking face, raised his eyebrows at me silently asking for permission to leave. I nodded. Luke immediately made his way towards the exit with clenched fists. I watched him leave the shop until Cliff reminded me of his existence in front of me.

“Max.” he said sternly.

I straightened my neck as I crossed my arms and looked at Cliff.

“What did you just do?” I said furiously.

“Max! Why the hell are you with him?! You don’t even know him well!”

“I-“

“You don’t know what boys like him do.” He said grabbing my arms and tugging me out of the shop.

“Aww! Cliff, you’re hurting me!” I said when we’re out of the shop and at a silent alley.

“I don’t want to see you with him ever again. I don’t want you to see him again. Ever. Get it?” Cliff warned sternly.

“But he’s my friend-“

“You don’t know what he’s capable of.” He tugged harder at my arm making me flinch.

“Okay, okay!” and with that he let go of my arm. He saw me rubbing my reddening forearms from his tight grip then sighed loudly.

“I just want you safe. You don’t know what he does and he’s not some normal guy. He’s dangerous.” He slightly mumbled the last part. He grasped my shoulders at arm’s length and looked at me with worried eyes.

“What? I need some answers, Cliff. It’s very confusing.” I pleaded, my eyes watering.

And it was unpredictable that Cliff said that word,

“Okay.”

Notes

First of all, it's very short. It's like 300+ words only. But I just want to update early is all.

Second, I think I will re-post my story "Lovingly" in this acc but it is now edited. Weee
