One Chance
Getting My Mentor
"Hello," I said as I walked out on stage.
"And what will you be singing for us tonight?" Niall asked me.
"Kiss me, by Ed Sheeran." A lot of people screamed.
"All right, well lets hear it," Liam said.
This time I opened my eyes when I was singing, and I saw that a lot of people were swaying their arms.
When I finished singing, I got another standing ovation.
I can't believe that many people cared to see me sing. Everybody that raised me didn't want to hear me and my gift of music.
Simon walked up to me. Oh my god, Simon flippin Cowell was right in front of me. I always thought he was mean.
"Well that was really quite the performance you put on there. One of the best I've ever seen." Simon said.
The audience cheered. Simon? Saying something nice?
"Thank you." I said.
"Previously, you said that you were singing to prove people wrong. Who are you trying to prove wrong?" He asked.
"You don't need to hear about that." I told him.
"Well tommorrow make sure you come down here, to find out who your mentor is. Okay?"
"Okay, byeee!" I said into the microphone, as I left the stage.
I waited for Josh and Lacy to finish, because I wanted to find out if they made it through or not. While I was waiting I ate some shrimp that was backstage.
Luckily they both made it, and we all headed off to dinner to celebrate. I drove there, because if they drove, we probably wouldn't make it to dinner.
We got there, and the hostess recognized us, and so did a few people already eating. Then while we were waiting for our table, a little girl came up to us with her mom asking for our autographs. We all gladly accepted, because we weren't used to fans or anything.
When our table was ready, it had a note on it that said,
Congrats on your making it into the Xfactor bootcamp!
Signed, the staff.
And it had all the workers of the restaurant names on it.
"Awww that's so sweet!" I told the waiter. The waiter smiled and then left.
"So who are you hoping is going to be your mentor, Abby?" Lacy asked me.
"I don't know." I said.
"Well you have to have somebody that you want." She argued. Suddenly, I didn't feel so good, I think it was the shrimp that I ate backstage at the Xfactor arena.
I went to the bathroom and vomited all my insides out. I came back probably looking like a mess with vomit in my hair, clothes, and all over my face.
"I don't feel so well." I told them, as I walked towards the door.
"Abbbbyyyy," Josh whined.
"Sorry," I told them, pushing open the double doors, and hailing a taxi back to the hotel I was staying at.
I woke up the next morning, feeling a lot better. Thank god, because I would've been totally screwed, if I was sick today.
We all lined up in a row, on the stage. It was so empty in here, like honestly I would have never in a million years pictured this room so empty. Then One Direction, and their Uncle, Simon came out from backstage.
They started reading off a list who everyones mentors were going to be.
And when they said my name, I froze, waiting to hear who it was going to be. And it was......Louis.
