Better Than Words
Chapter One
Livvie’s POV
There’s nothing better than going to an amusement park with my best friends. I love the thrill of having to almost puke and not being able to walk. Maybe it’s the adrenaline rush. I don’t know. You can ask my dad or anybody else, but if you ask me I won’t have a complete answer.
“Livvie, come here!” Addison yelled.
I rolled my eyes and ran over to her. She was munching on an apple with peanut butter.
“What do you want, Addie?” I asked whilst getting a full glimpse of her. I know she’s my best friend, but sometimes she just overdoes it. Like today, she had on a black shirt, black leggings, galaxy short with some Jordans. “Addie, why can’t you ever dress normally?”
She smirked and bucked her hips up. “Because normal is boring. I wanted to tell you that One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer are going to be at the amusement park today.”
On the inside, I was jumping with joy. On the outside, I just stood still in my spot, showing no happiness or excitement at all. “Addie, how did you find this out?”
“By running there and back just to tell you,” She responded sarcastically.
I rolled my eyes. “Funny. Now tell me how you found out.”
She laughed, then said, “I went on twitter and that was the first thing I saw. It was super amazing. Michael is going to love me.”
I laughed along with her. “Babe, calm down. It’s only Michael.”
She stood up and looked me in the eyes. “You wouldn’t be saying that if it was Zayn.”
Blood started racing to my cheeks. I mentally face palmed and walked over to a chair. She was right. I wouldn’t be saying that if it was Zayn. But it’s different. Michael and Addison are made for each other, Zayn and I aren’t. What I mean by that is Zayn and I aren’t compatible. He’s madly in love with Perrie Edwards. They’re getting married for god’s sake.
“Are you ready to go?” Addison asked. I nodded my head and got up.
“We’ll meet the others there?” I questioned. She nodded her head and skipped out the door. I run after her, right into the cool breeze outside that left shivers all down my body.
“Damn, it’s cold!” Addie exclaimed, running to the car.
I just laughed and walked to the driver’s seat.
When we got there, there was a long line to show our tickets. I don’t know why all these people decided to come today. It’s not different from any other day. I mean, there are the same rides and games. What’s so different about today? I looked around to make sure nothing was the same. I feel a tug on my shoulder.
“Livvie, come on! They already got our tickets.” Addie told me. I nodded and walked out of line. Addie dragged me over to the rest of our friends. There was Alison, Carter, Kylie, Jamie, Cierra, Keli, and Talia. I waved at all of them and they waved back.
“Are you guys ready?” Alison shouted.
“Of course!” We screamed. Then we walked off into “King’s Island,” our town’s amusement park. Hearing all of the screams and rollercoasters has really got me going.
